Some suggestions and feedback

I'm really into the whole magnetism gimmick and it makes for a lot of interesting ways to approach, chase, and evade the opponent. I feel though that there's still a bit of oomph missing from the moveset. I have some suggestions on things you could change or add but I'd like to note that if all these suggestions were implemented at once it could create imbalance. Just spitballing a bit on the possibilities.

  • Implement a different up special for when Lode is in the air: When Lode is mid-air, using up special when Puul is not out will cause Lode to throw Puul straight up and Puul should immediately pull Lode after. The latter part of that may not be necessary. When Lode is on the ground it should behave the same or have Lode throw Puul up without the auto pull. In general I like to position Puul in mid-air to begin with so being able to do it without jumping is nice, too.
  • Have Puul affect Lode from any distance but make the force be distance based. So you can use Puul from further away and the closer you are, the stronger it is but it's also weaker from further away.
  • Make it so that steel balls settle on the ground so they can be manipulated by Puul after. Would be fun to have this in concert with the above suggestion. Should also have a despawn indicator through flashing or something to show the balls are close to being removed.
  • Allow usage of Puul while charging and using strongs. This would probably require a ton of rebalancing for the strongs but it would make for quite a fun way to hit opponents with up strong for example, which really only works against the AI because the AI is stupid and can't handle moves with extremely long wind-up. I also love the idea of being able to slingshot myself while using down strong along and using the already existing down strong movement controls to do a bit of air control, too.
  • Make claiming Puul faster. Right now, reclaiming Puul so I can reposition him is slow and discourages me from doing it most of the time. Increasing the speed at which Puul flies back would be nice.
  • If you hit an opponent with forward special, Puul should hover around them. This would also require a fair bit of rebalancing as it's probably ridiculously powerful if it worked this way. Would definitely be lots of fun, though and a smart opponent could use this against you, too.

Really enjoying this mod so far and the design for both Lode and Puul are quite adorable. Thanks for putting up with my text wall.
