-Up Air (New animation/Move): Double backflip kick. Hits twice. Inspired by the double backflip move in the Fancy Pants games.
-Back air (New animation): A backwards pencil swipe that looks a lot like Hero's back air in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Slower but more powerful.
-Up strong (New animation): The way the move works currently is fine, but I feel like the animation should be a little less stiff.
-Forward Strong (Improved animation/balance changes): Fancy Pants Man does a slight jump before slashing. Also, the move itself should have more start up.
-Down strong (New animation): Spinning slash with pencil that hits on both sides. Single hit move. Inspired by Link's grounded spin attack.
-Up special (Improved animation): Just make the animation less stiff and it's good to go.
-Down special (Improved animation + sprite): Fancy Pants lays down an egg that hatches, revealing a newly re-sprited spider (Because it really needs a better sprite). The egg will not hatch until it hits the ground. Also the spider should move slower, but bind for a slightly longer amount of time at low percents.
-Neutral Special: Needs less Sandbert. I'm really not sure what the new move would be tho.
-Side Special: Should be a single hit that bounces off of enemies, just like in Fancy Pants 3. Also, you should be able to maintain your momentum after the move itself comes out instead of just stopping in place after the move finishes.
Overall, I think this is a really good character that with the proper amount of polish will be even better than it is now.
-Neutral Special: Summons the pirate captain from Fancy Pants 3, who does a command grab with his beard that launches the opponent towards you.
Down strong is now a single swing instead of a spin because this character already has 3 spins
For down special, I don't really know if I can pull something like what you described off, probably in the future
Neutral special is unchanged because I want to keep a fancy pants 4 reference in there somewhere, I plan to make it more unique at some point though (probably an ink meter)
If you want to discuss this further that's fine (these aren't real reasons anyway),
thanks again for feedback
-The spider needs a much angrier face. Spiders don't look happy in the Fancy Pants games.
-Instead of the spider just disappearing on hit or if it stays out for too long, if the spider doesn't hit anyone while it is in play or if it hits someone, the spider goes into a sort of death animation (lighter color, x eyes), and falls off the screen (like when you kill an enemy in the Fancy Pants games).
-Down air's spike hitbox takes a little getting used to. It's fine as is, but it would be a more reliable tool if the spike hitbox was bigger.
-Up air should be a more versatile combo tool overall. Second hitbox should come out faster and no longer halt your vertical momentum. Less knockback would also be appreciated.
-Side special should put you into special fall. Combined with this character's fast air speed and good recovery, they can almost always make it back to the stage. Making side special put you into special fall would nerf their recovery for the better.
-I'm still thinking of a way to incorporate a Super FPA reference for Neutral Special without having it be too much like Sandbert. I'm going to get the game myself to see what I can pull from and I'll post the idea soon.
-Up strong needs a little more startup. It comes out too fast and it's a powerful kill move. Adding a bit more startup and/or endlag would be appreciated.
-Dash attack could have a 2nd hit that is activated by pressing the button again. This 2nd attack is the Rising Attack from Super Fancy Pants Adventure, which in the game is activated by sliding. To allow for this second hit, dash attack would need to launch horizontally as opposed to vertically.
-I would like the Ink Dash move to be incorporated in some way (Perhaps it could replace side special?).
-Neutral special should be aimable like in SFPA. Also, it should knock back slightly. This would be more in line with how the ink shooting works in Super FPA.
I'll introduce two in a future update but I'll have to look into Ink Dash further, mainly because in the original game it functions similarly to Sandbert's side special.
