100$ for this mod because of required DLCs?
I can't start this mod without having 4 or 5 DLCs installed which are about 100$.
I'm willing to pay for your mod on Paypal but don't you think the price is a little too high if I have to buy all the DLCs before?

You're not paying for the mod, at all. The mod is 100% free. IIRC, you only need the History Pass content to have all the required DLC files to get this mod to run, which is 34$, not 100$.

You do need all the mods, they mention in the comments Eugen's policy.

No, it didn't actually. Either your download was corrupted or you tried to run conflicting mods.

Looks like more than just the Back of War DLC is required to be purchased. I just got the game but I don't mind to play this mod.

Best way to enjoy Red Storm'44 is to have all DLCs, that means :

History Pass (Be it from the General Deluxe version or purchased separately) + Back to War (this one is free if you own or buy SD1) + Tribute to DDay + Preorder Pack + Nemesis 2.

Okay, but can you play this mod on the base game alone?

Sadly no.

just dont have Tribute to DDay + Preorder Pack and i cant play.... A joke.

I installed the mod and sadly my freshly buy SD2 + 15DLC does not contains DDay.. I'm a bit disapointed after watched some play on Youtube about this mod

Double checking here. All I need to play this mod is History Pass and I can play this mod? I just want to make sure before I dish out more money!

@MrCrisps : Why don't give your mod to someone (you trust) and ask for a regeneration with a version with less DLC ? does this work for a downgrade ?

@zwieda : Come on, start to create your own mod ! :steammocking:
No joke, i started to create one and editing some Ammo/Weapons and Units.. Majority of these files are auto-generated, and it's been kinda 150.000 lines per file to edit..
Maybe there is an easy way to do, but i need help from mod expert.

The way some stuff are managed is strange. MP40x2 has redundant parameters with MP40x3, MP40x4. I Wonder why they didn't make a MP40 then associate to a single unit per squad. Critical and bounce are operated with a roll dice param .. hehe what a joke.

There a ton of reasons why i wanted to play an already made modification :steambored:

Under Decription Tab, you have a div block on the left with all DLC needed. I presume this is the DLC required by the mod. :)

Honestly I don't quite get it but this topic gets brought up so much you think there would be a disclaimer fully explaining why in the mod description. It's just odd is all.

It's not that you need all those DLC for the mod per se, at least not from what I really use as assets, but Eugen decided to change their way of locking unlocking units for their own usage compared to how they were doing it in SDN44.

That means that it's a change they made for internal ease of modifications. As annoying as it is for us, I still can understand it from a developing perspective. Maybe they'll change their ways someday, but I doubt it. In the meantime i'll try to find a solution.
