Kyle's Review of "SH2: Other Side of LIfe" - 2/5
Good... if you have infinite patience. 2/5 stars.

Other Side of Life is loosely based on Silent Hill 2, starting off as a faithful adaptation before going off the rails and doing its own thing. It's the second SH campaign by this author, and the aesthetic improvements are obvious. With gorgeous textures, densely detailed fog and chatty survivors, this mod has a captivating atmosphere that gets weirder as it goes on.

Unfortunately, the problems from the SH1 campaign are even worse here. Every chapter feels like one of the largest L4D2 maps ever made, and you're rarely given any guidance as you search for keys like needles in a haystack. The enhanced edition actually makes this problem even worse by giving you more keys to find and randomizing their locations. For that reason alone, I'd recommend the OG version[www.gamemaps.com] instead — it's not "better" per se, but it respects your time a bit more.

I feel bad giving 2 stars to a mod with so much detail in it, but the foundation can't support the facade.
