Every momu that has joined my desert colony so far has died, due to the lack of non-hydroponic growing space available. The colony mostly survives on rice, meat, and agave, none of which the Momu can eat. Growing potatoes and corn in the sparse patches of dirt available is the only option, and results in growers wandering around a lot, wasting precious work time.
If they could eat more foods the colony wouldn't be a death sentence for the poor bunnies.
Maybe allow them to eat meat, but suffer a huge negative moodlet for doing so? Like cannibalism.
Can they even eat nutra paste?I haven't tried as my colony is running a rather serious steel shortage and dumping that kind of steel on a paste dispenser is low priority.
It'd be nice as well if the momu didn't create extra categories under weapons and apparel, and food. heavily modded games have lots of stuff to scroll through, having more dropdowns in the list is just clutter.
Like the mod though, and the concepts it brings to the table, hoping the food situation improves so I can actually keep one alive for more than a few weeks.
In my opinion it'd be more fun if they were able to eat all vegetarian foods, and were also ABLE to eat meat/cooked meals (despite being a terrible idea), but were appropriately punished when they did.
If your idea is to only allow them to eat raw vegetarian food, you could give them a large negative moodlet + large/guarenteed food poisoning chance for eating any meat or meals with meat, and a small/medium negative moodlet + small food poisoning chance for eating cooked vegetarian meals (since they prefer raw veggies). You could probably handle detecting meat the same way the vanilla game handles eating insect meat in meals. Just extend that penalty to all meat for the Momu. Allowing the player to make mistakes/do stupid things/make hard trade-offs is part of the fun of Rimworld ha.
Also since eating raw vegetarian food is one of their unique traits, it would be cool if they had a decreased chance to get food poisoning for eating raw veggies. My momu colonists were getting constant food poisoning while eating berries haha. Raw food is supposed to be their thing. This would add to the feeling of them being their own unique race with an additional benefit ontop of their communal moodlet buffs (which I really like 0.o). Right now, despite raw food being all they can eat, they still get sick from it just as often as normal colonists haha.
Being able to use general vegetarian foods for their meals aside from only corn/potatoes would also be nice. It feels super limited at the moment, and I like my fridge to have a variety of colors. I think there's some saying about being tired of just "corn and potatoes". Even if they're limited, variety is still nice.
TLDR Sprankles Suggestions:
-Allow Momu to eat all vegetarian foods un-restricted (+_+) "Why can't they eat rice?!"
-Allow all vegetarian foods to be used in Momu meals. (As long as there's two types)
-Decrease food poisoning chance when eating raw veggies for Momu. (how has their species survived!)
-Small to medium negative moodlet for eating any cooked meals, even without meat. (Since they like raw foods)
-Large negative moodlet + very high food poisoning chance for meat/meals with meat.
I think a value of 2-4 could work since sunflowers are easy to grow and maintain.
I am actually against that, cause it would destroy the asymmetrical gameplay of such an race compared to humans and therefore make them less unique.
I like it if some races are region specific, since it forces you to take an different approach gameplay wise, instead of doing the exact same thing for every races.
btw theres a mod called Un-Limited which might address the the beyond 100%
Why not have a simple veggie meal that can use any vegetable or fruit, and a fine veggie meal that uses both vegetables and fruit?
then ur cool and ur mod is cool
