Looking to change the values of weapons on a listen server.
Hey all, I've been trying to edit the .gma file's values through only Notepad but everytime I try to save the file and play the game, GMod freezes on the main menu. If I save the .gma into a differently named file and delete the old addon GMod just re-downloads the old addons, ignoring the edits I made. How can I go about editing the values of the weapons properly?

You need to extract the .gma and place it in your addons folder then edit the weapon you want. You'll need to un-subscribe from the addon or else it will be overwritten then you can remove the .gma.

Thanks! What about if I want the changes to go through on a local server? How do I get the weapons with their altered values to appear for other clients?
