Post suggestions for the mod here.

Note: if making a suggestion that might be contentious, I would like at least one source to support your suggestion. Sources are not necessary, though, just appreciated.

Would you consider splitting Eastern America into two different Colonial Regions? I think that they're distinct enough to be more colonial nations (maybe colonial Southeastern America and Northeastern America), especially with a lot more provinces being added to the Southeast.

That's definitely something I can consider. Splitting the "Eastern America" region has been in the back of my head since I started this mod, since lumping so many provinces and so many people groups and geographic regions into one region doesn't make much sense to me. As I add more provinces, I'll keep the idea in mind. Thank you for the feedback!

I was going to suggest the same thing, but into three or four regions: why not split the eastern america region into the carolinas, the chesapeake basins, new york and new england?

Something like this could work, although I would like to stay away from historical names where they wouldn't make sense, like in "New England" or "New York." The Chesapeake, though, is a good idea for a colonial region, and I could probably find a good name for a combined NC/SC/GA CR and a NY/NE region. Maybe "Colonial Piedmont" and "Colonial North Atlantic?" Just an idea, I'll work with it more.

Thank you for the idea, though! One colonial region is not going to work when I add more provinces but three or four could work. Maybe one for the land west of the Appalachians? Hmm...

A good name would be Colonial Ohio IMO.

What about:

Piedmont
Cheseapeake
Montaigne/Lenape/Cahohatatea (the Hudson basin)
Massachusetts Bay (new england)
Accomac Province for the detatched bit of Virginia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accomack_County,_Virginia
"Members of an English voyage of exploration landed in the area in 1603, four years before the founding of the Jamestown Colony. Captain John Smith visited the region in 1608. The Accawmacke nation at the time numbered around 6000, and were governed by Debedeavon, a paramount chief called by the English the "Laughing King". He became a staunch ally of the English newcomers, granting them several large areas for their own use.

Accomac Shire was established in 1634 as one of the eight original shires of Virginia. The name comes from the native word Accawmacke, which meant "on the other side"."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debedeavon
"The Accawmack, who numbered about 2000, were peripheral or nominal members of the Powhatan Confederacy. However, since water isolated them from the rest of Tsenacommacah (mainland Virginia), the Eastern Shore Indians had their own confederacy enjoying some measure of autonomy and peaceful rule under king Debedeavon. Each of his clan subchiefs paid him 8 bushels of corn, plus three arrowheads, as tribute each year.[1]

In 1608, a 13 year old English ensign named Thomas Savage was traded to Chief Powhatan for a native boy, Nemotacke, as something like a cultural exchange student. Powhatan adopted Savage, who became an interpreter between the two cultures, but the jealousy of that Chief's brother eventually led Savage to be sent to the relatively safer Eastern Shore, where Debedeavon gave him a large tract of land between Cheriton Creek and King's Creek that became known as Savage's Neck, under his son John Savage (1624-1667; Thomas having married emigrant Hannah Tyng in 1621).[2] Indeed, during the starving time at Jamestown, Debedeavon sold the colonists much needed provisions."

"The Accawmacke, located on the Eastern Shore across the Chesapeake Bay, were paid nominal tribute to the Powhatan Chiefdom, but enjoyed autonomy under their own Paramount Chief or "Emperor", Debedeavon (aka "The Laughing King")."

Would you ever consider increasing the amount of provinces in some states such as my home state of Maryland due to the high amount of diversity within the American east coast?

Hi! Well, given that increasing the amount of provinces is the entire point of this mod, I would say yes, absolutely. Regarding Maryland, I have already added three provinces (Pocomoke, Accomac, and Patapsco) and reshaped some of the existing ones, but I am definitely open to adding provinces in other states. Version 1.4, I think, is going to focus on the Mid-Atlantic states (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York) and possible some of the areas west of the Appalachians, like the Ohio River Valley.

If you have any specific additions you would like to see, feel free to post them here, along with sources so I can better judge what to add and what to leave out.
