Adding Senseless Industries to existing map?
I see in the description that "Senseless can not be added to existing savegames. Use Senseless only with the start of a NEW campaign."

I'm curious if this applies not only to starting a new game, but also to creating a map in the map editor.

For example, I have a map I'm working on, and was considering making a vanilla and a "Senseless" version. If I deleted all cities and industries, leaving just terrain, and enabled this mod, would it not work correctly?

If that wouldn't work, is that something that could be made possible? I'm unsure how the mod "configures the environment" at the beginning, but maybe it could still be done on an existing map. Obviously, I don't expect to be able to remove this mod from a save which already has it enabled.

I had tried to make Senesless compatible with imported maps, but failed. But now with the June patch I might have another try.

You can try to delete all industries, and place new one with the Senseless mod loaded. That should work. Town buildings will update their cargo config when they change. I've never tried it but it's worth trying.

It is not impossible that you also need to replace the towns. Have a go for it. ;)

I made promising progress with importing maps and adapting them by script. I need a little more time to finish it and make it available. We speak in terms of days, if all goes right. ;)

Wow! That's awesome! My map still has a lot of work to be done, so don't rush just for my sake, but this does sound like it could be useful for anyone who wants to use this mod with existing maps.

I've published a MAJOR update with version 1.31. Thanks to the June patch, it was possible to make Senseless convert classic map from the workshop and, own savegames without Senseless, into Senseless ones. Select any map or savegame, enable the Senseless v1.31 mod for that map, and let it load. Senseless has:

- introduces all new cargo types in the game
- converted all town to accept the traditional Commercial and Industrial Goods
- updated all town buildings so they also accept the town goods
- included mail and waste support to all town buildings
- updated all industries for being compatible with the new cargo types
- enabled the industry bar at the bottom with all Senseless industries
- modified all vehicle blueprints so they transport the new cargo type (not the vehicles on map)
- added workers to all industries

REMARK! The types and placement of industries on the map are the original ones. So the collection of industries is not logical within the Senseless concept. You will want to enable the no-cost mod temporarily, and replace a few industries with more appropriate ones. Without the replacement of a number of out-of-place industries, the game play might be very difficult, even impossible.
