Dyeable dresses?

I noticed most of the dresses were completely white, but can't be dyed. Are they suppose to be like that? I assumed they were white in order to dye them.

Nevermind, apparently it was an issue with my dyes. For some reason the game was reading all the colors I'd previously made as white. After tossing them all and making new dyes the dresses can now be dyed any color.
