Realistic Stone Age

not really sure about low metal resources
i know you are aiming for realistic, but realistically speaking, since ancient times, alot of metal resources were surface based. and pretty huge deposits of it too. and even then, an ore vein could run pretty deep. plus, back then recycling was still done. once an axe or a spear has become too dull, it could be remelted into a proper tool.

in the game, you are quite dependant on having sufficient deposits in your direct environment since alot of it is being wasted (thrown away after X amount of uses) however, ive only just subscribed, and on the very easy map, there are hardly metal resources to speak of. how exactly do you counter this? will a trader come by often and have a generous amount of metals to sell?

if not, then advancing beyond the neolithic age can become a pain.

@Jeruzalem Sorry for the late response, I've missed your post. After reading more on Wikipedia about these ores, I think you might be right (except tin, as there seems to have been less than 10 regions with rich tin deposits in Europe). Regarding copper/iron, while there were settlements in regions with reach deposits, there were much more with none, but which traded with the others. Since the game simulates an average settlement, I find the simulation of a settlement with very few deposits, that relies both on mines and trade, to be a good average. I've recently increased traders to come 5 times a year (instead of once a year), to improve this situation, so let me know if it is better now.
