I'm pretty sure that all 3 of the maps I checked had more cherry trees alone than stick. My sister owns an orchard. Has about 500 trees. Know what else she has? A painfully large abundance of STICKS. SO MANY STICKS!! So many in fact, the only way to dispose of them so that they don't take over the property in massive piles is to burn them.
First clothing was hammered reed. Their ships were made of reeds since those were boats of woven reed bundles. Their walls were strengthened with reed. Reed became, literally, the symbols of the stone pillars that upholds Egyptian temples even to this day. And is still referenced in modern architecture of the immediate Middle East.
Reeds gave us the first persistent paper. When experience became civilization.
I can't fault the mod author - this is probably a development design assumption. To be fair the base game seems to ignore the 90% of early human development happening outside the North of Asia or Greater Europe.
I hope that can be corrected.
First - I am thoroughly enjoying your mod, I was looking for a map with nice flat land & your wooded hills works nicely. That said I appreciate it might look unrealistic, but can you tell me how to edit your mod to increase stick density? I just had 3 boys killed by wolves in one year as they went across the river to get sticks!
