Cyberforge Proliferation

Future Project Ideas/Interest Check
So, has anyone else played The Wedding Dance mod for the original Mount & Blade?

In that mod, the player's sister was the heir to the former empire, and the player would help her take over the world. It was programmed like that because, in the original Mount & Blade, the player couldn't make their own faction and take over the map, so it worked with the game's limitations in an interesting way, rather than forcing the game to adapt to the player's dreams of conquest.

I'm thinking of a similar system for Kenshi: A new faction of one individual that the player can help conquer all the major powers and that rebuilds all the ruins as it expands. I'm thinking a Princess that claiming to be the rejected female reincarnation of the Holy Phoenix, plus surviving descendant of the previous United Cities Emperor, plus descendant of Kral himself, plus the climax of generations of Second Empire genetic research into the perfect being.

In the fashion of all true conquerors, some of that may or may not be true, but you'll help her kill anyone that disagrees until it accepted as fact or irrelevant. That last part might explain how she'll be able to take over the Western and Southern Hive, once you eliminate their current leadership...

Those who have actually played The Wedding Dance mod for Mount & Blade know exactly why the Cyberforge armors and weapons are perfect for outfitting troops in any mod based upon it...

Also, I always figured that eventually some individual or group would rebuild Bast and Mourn (in fact, I made a mod that does just that), so I'm thinking of putting a new independent faction into those settlements to bump up the opposing factions to 5 (or 6 if Tech hunters count).

Also contemplating a more realistic version of having a child character versus my current Insemination mod. A system by which the player basically financially supports the mother who is stuck at home while they adventure all along the world until the child is of age to join as a companion. Probably shortened so the player doesn't have to wait over 6000 days for a character. I mean, nobody ever said that Greenlanders are exactly human...

I'm thinking the player would first pay a dowry for the bride (ally bride), then give her money to support her while she is pregnant (ally family), then give her money raise the child (ally child). Her family are Nomads, so one side effect is that the Settled Nomads would become allies of the player as her family quickly dominates the business affairs there, due to all the money they're getting out of you. It meshes with my above idea, since nothing about the Settled Nomads says "hey, we should totally conquer this settlement". Pretty sure anyone that tried would just see the whole thing disappear into the wastes overnight, so its a compete waste of time.

A "claimant" systems and campaigns like in M&B would be pretty nice, though a lot of work, I can only assume!

I'd be interested, but at the same time I probably wouldn't use it unless it's made compatible with most of the major overhaul mods that already exist.

Also, if I were to use it, I would want the claimant factions to be mostly vanilla-outfited. Seing them fully cyberpunked would turn me away from it.

It's not as hard as you might think, if you see Moll as a claimant to the Holy Nation. Do the same as that, and you've "basically" got a similar system.

I mostly stick to my own mods, which would you consider the "Major Overhaul Mods?" Need to ask, since there are several, and they sometimes conflict.

...also, as a status update, I've already done some of the groundwork on Realistic Child raising, in that the interactive characters for my Angosan Insemination mod was relocated to the Settled Nomads. Its not quite as safe there as I had though...(beak things)

I meant mods like "Reactive World" and the likes that add and modify world states and whatever else under the hood.

Also haven't been using those myself but mods like Kaizo come to mind too, as well as Genesis and whatever other mega project may be.

Though honestly if your stuff is good enough you've got no need to try and abide by the giants that are already there!
