Marten Fun Facts
(Someone asked for more info about martens in the comments, but I exceeded the comments section's character length, so here's this!)

There's some info about them in each of their descriptions :) But here's some more random info about martens. Very few people know much about martens, which is sad, but they are mustelids, cousins of the otter, ferret, and weasel. They live in trees and are quite at home in colder climates (for most of them). Most martens live rather solitary lives, but their territories are often several miles across. However the Yellow-Throated Marten actually hunts in packs, in fact a group of 3-4 of these ones will sometimes hunt even humans.

For most martens, they love eggs, but are omnivores, eating what is available to them. Squirrels are a common prey for most of them, though some can even take down deer. Sables (the variety in the videos on here) LOVE honey. You can actually really confuse a sable giving them honey butter :P

They also are incredible at learning how things work and problem solving. Such as learning to remove the cap on a bottle or how to open drawers to get something they want that's inside. Sadly few people have even HEARD of martens (the most common knowledge of their existence comes from those who have heard of sable fur coats :( ) which is a part of why I made this mod, they are amazing animals and deserve to be loved!

Extra fun fact: Pan, from the His Dark Materials book series, actually eventually settles as a marten :P

Thanks for the reply.
Are they hard to keep? I used to live with someone who kept a ferrets, but I have no experience myself. I had some experience with keeping a cat though, I don't know if they are similar.

They seems smart. I am mostly wonders about their pooping behavior, diet and price/cost for keeping them. (Or anything related to keeping one.)

Well, unfortunately, they are actually illegal in much of the US. As for how they keep as pets, I don't own one (yet), so I wouldn't really be super qualified to answer most of that.
Ah... I thought you owned one, because I thought you are the owners of the videos :p

Well, I'm here in the US, so finding someone to export one to me is going to be a heck of a journey, but I really hope to!
