The making of de_checkpoint
My SECOND map .....

Checkpoint was created initially as a learning experience and as a challenge to myself. An attempt to build a full size map, using all or most of the hammer editor tools.


I chose to use the dust theme and props, including old dust2's house models, mainly for speed and because I know they are no longer part of an actively used map.

I only tell you this to point out that a lot of the work achieved was made a lot easier and possible thanks to these models and textures existing. So in this case I can take no credit for most of the scenery in this map. Only their placement positions, general use and layout of the map , along with a few other designs and ideas that are my own - However I do plan on creating my own textures and props for some future developments.
