In essence I agree with most of what you're saying, except your comparison with Luger and AKM (no idea what you're trying to say here..) and I may take some of it into account. However, I must argue that many anti-material rifles are also used against infantry at extended distances (reading this of wikipedia).
I will most likely not do any updates on this mod, as it will be included in a future gun-pack.
The thing with the magazine rotated incorrectly was a mistake in rendering that scene. It does not affect gameplay.
