Crafting costs.
Anyone else thinks they're waaaay out of whack?

For one thing, crafting costs like 2 deerclops eyes or 80 thulecite are just screaming to be exploited with a constuction amulet => deconstruction staff combo.

Then there's the fact that there are no caves in adventure mode. (BTW, still crashing when entering adventure mode with Musha)
No caves means no thulecite, and no rabbit fur either. And that means no axe, no armor other than Frost and no Headgear other than cat.

And even without the above points, the general flow of it all is kinda wonky.
Take that hammer for example – yeah you don't even have to enter caves for that one. “All you need” is “just” 30 blue gems (annoying AF but farm-able, I guess) and 2 eyes. Yeah... 2 eyes... Even if you never make the first deerclops into an eyebrella this still requires you to survive till the second winter. And let's face it, once you've done that you're done with the challenge of the game. OR you could “just” make your way to the APS and craft it with construction amulet and one eye. Same result though. By the time you can get there you're too well-off to care.

Gear costs aren't much nicer either.

For example my last world's surface gave me a total of 10 gears. Just the forge would take 8 of them. So yeah, I could build one forge, cover it with a sole flingomatic and then either world shift leaving the base with the forge behind, or go do ruins endgame without ANY character-specific wearables.
Where's the fun in that?

We have a weapon that can be used as both axe and a pick axe, another one that can be used as a hammer and a third one that can be used as a shovel.
IMHO using custom upgradeable items instead of typical tools is a bit part of what makes this character so great. Except 2 out of 3 of those items come into play too late.

Same with armor, there's a great collection there with a lot of good and interesting options, except about 2/3 of them aren't available before you've conquered the world. That and the fact that half the time it's better to just use log suit or football helmet instead, because half of your arsenal takes forever to reach the same protection levels as basic items and the other half will never even get that far...

Stick to gems/NM_fuel/living_logs as most costly crafting requirements. 1-4 per type. And when I said gems I meant purple gems tops no greens/oranges/yellows. This way you we can actually enjoy them while there's still something for us left to do.
If you want some “top tier reward” crafting stick to no more that ONE boss drop item in a recipe. That way it's more reasonable (doesn't take longer than a year) and also this way boss drop can't be duped with APS crafting.

Don't make any “armor” with less than 60% absorption. EVER. Leveling an item from a starting DR of 3-10% in a game where about every other mob can kill you in 2 hits is not even remotely funny. If it's less than 60% it's so far below log suit that it doesn't even deserve being called armor.
