Probably not, cause whales are mammals and all mammals need oxygen, unlike in the game, the Basilosaurus is a mammal but it doesn't need oxygen

Dilophosaurus
- Range and accuracy of spitting attack increased, to make it more viable as an early-game turret.

Cnidaria
- Aggro range massively reduced (jellyfish do not pursue prey), to draw aggro you basically have to be touching it, and it's pretty easy to lose it. Additionally, only small critters (humans, ichthyosaurs, parasaurs, small fish etc.) will be targeted, as these would be reasonable prey items for the jellies. Larger creatures are ignored unless provoked.
- Removed electricity effects, as jellyfish are venomous, not electric. (note that this is purely cosmetic, the neurotoxin still paralyzes victims)
- Can no longer infinitely stunlock victims.

Carbonemys
- Base health reduced to 350.
- 10% resistance to incoming damage, with a further 40% damage reduction to projectiles hitting its shell.
- Properly resized mesh, so that players don't double in size when mounting it.
- Diet changed to piscivore, like the real creature.
- Bite damage increased to 25.

Therizinosaur
- Claw attack hits twice, 43 base damage. Decreased attack rate to compensate.
- Bite is now RMB, fiber harvesting "attack" is now C.
- Bite can no longer damage stone structures or inflict torpor.
- Health reduced to 660 (why does it have more base health than vanilla spino when it is barely half its size?!)
- Weight reduction on wood.
- Wild theris will also aggro on wild carnivores.

Arthropleura
- All instances of the word 'arthropluera' are replaced by the correct spelling, 'arthropleura'.
- The bite attack no longer damages metal structures. Instead, this property is given to the acid spit, which is given a damage multiplier on said structures.
- Acid spit has 2.0x damage multiplier on the durability of most armors, 5.0x multiplier on flak, and no multipliers on riot and tek.
- Acid spit inflicts reaper's "corroded".
- Metal melee weapons (i.e. sword and pike) lose durability twice as fast when used against arthropleura, due to the acidic blood.
(The properties of the acid projectiles and blood also apply to reapers.)

Leedsichthys
- No longer locked to lvl 1, levels up like a normal creature. This also applies to alphas.
- Base damage reduced to 80, to prevent high level individuals from instantly destroying rafts. Alphas have the same damage multiplier as regular leedles
- Alphas now have 66 000 base health, with the same health per level up as alpha mosa.

Basilisk
- Base health reduced to 1000, no longer gets any nerfs upon tame.
- Can be tamed with crystal wyvern eggs, though much less effectively than with rock drake or magmasaur eggs.
- Greatly reduced turning radius.
- No longer takes stupid amounts of fall damage.
- Goes underneath rocks and the like when burrowing.
- Can climb sharper inclines, similarly to the arthro and titanoboa.
- X is a tail sweep attack, carried over from Gigantophis (coming full circle). Deals 38 base damage with decent knockback.
- Bite hitbox returned to head.
- Given a proper neck, granting its bite and poison spit greater reach.
- Base weight reduced to 800. Weight per level up similar to the bronto.

Titanoboa
- Can be tamed with a wider variety of fertilized eggs.

Allosaurus
- You can stand on its back. If you can do so on the smaller megalosaurus, you should also be able to do so on any larger carnivores.
- Alpha's gash attack given a slight cooldown.

Triceratops
- Health increased to 380, just to make it a slight bit more distinct (in terms of stats) from pachyrhinosaurus.
- Tek trikes will now spawn in the same way as the other tek creatures.

Megatherium
- Reclassified as a medium herbivore.

Microraptor
- Can now be carried by karkinos, megalosaurus etc.

Kentrosaurus
- Base health reduced to 325. There is no reason for it to have the exact same stats as the stego, at half the size.
- Will use tail attack more often.

Pulmonoscorpius
- Give birth to live young, like real scorpions.
- All instances of the word 'pulminoscorpius' are replaced with the correct spelling, 'pulmonoscorpius'. (Learn to proofread, WildCard!)

Spino
- Running out of oxygen will drain stamina instead of health. If baryonyx can't drown, neither should Spino!

Icthyornis
- Can no longer eat inedible objects, i.e. weapons, water jars, ammo etc.
- Will receive the effects of eaten objects, e.g. narcoberries, narcotics or biotoxin will inflict torpor, meaning a wild ichthyornis that steals a stack of biotoxins will knock itself out.

Brontosaurus
- The base running speed of tamed brontos is now the same as that of wild ones.
- Fixed buggy walking and running animations, front legs should no longer bend wierdly on inclines.
- Tail sweep can hit the same target twice. Once for the initial whip, again on the backswing (40 base damage).

Yutyrannus
- Base health reduced to 800. (Am I the only one bothered by it having the exact same health stats as a rex, when it's only slightly bigger than the allo?!)
- Increased stamina regen/decreased stamina drain for running.
(This is the change I want the most to happen. If all of my other suggestions are ignored just for this to apply, I'd be completely fine with it.)

Moschops
- Is now an herbivore.
- Base health reduced to 160.
- Given an actual attack animation, courtesy of spino.
- Normal passive tame instead of demanding random food. Rare flowers and mushrooms are the most effective.

If you ever continue this, would you ever consider doing something for the Pachy and Dilo? I feel even for starter creatures they're just..really bad. Same with the Spider but its ironically not a starter creature and is somehow worse for the trade off. The Itchy as the go to starter water mount as well.

I don't have much at the moment, but I do believe if nothing else maybe the Itchy should get a gang bonus? It give it something at least. The spider should either be a lot tougher considering you have to go through all that just to passive tame. Pachy maybe just a lot less clunky and awkward to fight and slightly stronger.

I doubt Shad even looks at this thread.
FrigidMoonlight 15 Jun, 2021 @ 12:08pm
The dilophosaurus should be bigger realistically speaking (maybe slightly smaller than a megalosaurus in terms of height) and rideable with a saddle learned at level 25. Maybe triple the stats considering it being rideable. Have an aiming crosshair for assistance when using it and maybe some kind of torpor attack. That would be nice.
HoLoDoC 4 Feb, 2022 @ 8:21am
Increasing the speed of the defense units jab damage of defense unit flurry would be as well as reducing the cooldown for it. Increase the damage of defense unit gap closer slightly and perhaps give it a short movement speed debuff to dinos hit by it.
enginier? 19 Jul, 2022 @ 12:27pm
it would be really nice if the mod had ini settings like KBD.

I'm glad to see that this mod is still being fairly regularly updated. I would like to see your Better Gigas Rebalanced integrated into this with maybe a few changes. In the Better Gigas Rebalanced mod the Giga's base health is 2400 and its Topor is still 10000 which makes it almost impossible to knock out with a crossbow without killing it. I think that the Torpor could be lowered to a base of 5000 or 6000, still absurdly high, but it allows for a little less worry of killing it. I would also like to see the Giga resized a bit, like in that old 'Realism' Giga Tweak mod where the Giga is like roughly 80% the size of vanilla. It would still be substantially larger than a Rex while being a little less silly looking.
I would also really like to see .ini settings like KBD so I can easily mix and match this mod and KBD.

Aberration Reapers
- Reaper Kings now have genders (Male only!) and can breed in a unique way.
- Reaper Queens are now gendered as female-only, and can breed with Reaper Kings.
- To breed Reapers, you must enable mating on both the King and the Queen. Once the Queen has reached 100% mating, it will impregnate its owner if the owner tries to ride the Reaper Queen. The impregnation cycle will stay the same as it normally is, except there is a 15% chance for the baby Reaper to be a Queen.
- Reapers can now be KO tamed, preferring Reaper's Kibble, crafted using 1 Extraordinary Kibble, 25 Nameless Venom, and 5 Reaper Pheromone Glands. However, it must be afflicted with the "Charged!" status effect in order to even receive torpor! If it loses the "Charged!" status effect at all during the taming process, even if it is unconscious, its torpor will be reset to 0, if it is already unconscious when it loses "Charged!", it will wake up, burrow underground, and despawn. Queens can also be KO'd, but you need cannon balls/boulders to KO it.
- Wild Queens will no longer impregnate players.
- Reaper King base HP reduced to 1250. Reaper Queen base HP stays the same, except it gets a Giga-style HP-nerf, losing 38.5k out of its 45k base HP, for a 6500-HP tamed Reaper Queen.
- Reapers now inflict bleed.
- ALL Reaper Kings, even the ones on the surface and the ones summoned by Nameless, will now be labelled as simply "Reaper King". The ones in the Rockwell fight remain unchanged.
- Reaper Kings now deal 60 damage per bite; Reaper Queens now deal 115 damage per bite.
- Reaper Kings can now naturally spawn underground, even in the absence of Nameless.
- R-Reapers also get the above modifications.
- Drag Weight increased from 525 to 550.
- Can use left click attack held.

Bronto
- Now has 2 attacks: Tail whip, which now deals 45 base damage, and Stomp, which deals 130 base damage. Neither can be used while moving.
- Has a new running animation.
- Base HP reduced to 2000.
- Can use left click attack held.

Purlovia
- Is now rideable, saddle unlocked at level 40, and crafted using 95 fiber, 200 hide, and 15 metal ingots in the smithy.
- Bite now hits twice (Ever noticed how the Purlovia bites twice in the animation, but only hits once?), but loses knockback. Each hit also does 20 base damage.
- Bite now gives a bleed.
- Bite can now be done while moving.
- Can use left click attack held.

Therizinosaur
- Left click attack now hits twice for 35 base damage, totaling 70 damage per animation.
- Is now an omnivore, has a much higher aggro range.
- Now has an aberrant variant, found in the Rock Drake trench.
- Bite now does bleed damage.
- Can use left click attack held.

Mosasaur
- Base HP increased to 4000.
- Base torpor increased to 10000.
- Is now immune to Cnidaria and Electrophorus shock attacks, like Basilosaurus.
- TEK variant now available!
- Base stamina increased to 825.
- Torpor drain rate increased to match that of the Giga.
- Base damage increased to 120.
- Bite attack now induces a Giga-style bleed.
- Now has a roar on right click.
- No more "Cave" variant; all variants have been renamed "Mosasaur".
- Drag Weight decreased from 899 to 550.
- Can use left click attack held.

Plesiosaur
- Base HP reduced to 1200.
- Base damage reduced to 35.
- Now has a MUCH shorter aggro range, roughly 10% of its original aggro range.
- Bite now has similar damagetype as Pelagornis, dealing 10x damage toward Anglers, Coels, Electrophorus, Mantas, Megapiranhas and Salmon, as well as instantly harvesting corpses.
- Can use left click attack held.
- Is now immune to Cnidaria and Electrophorus shock attacks.

Sarco
- Size reduced by 20-25%/Health increased to 560 (Either works. It's too damn big for something with lower base health than bary!)

Megalania
- Left-click is only the bite. Claw attack moved to C.

Iguanodon
- Left-clicking while on all fours will no longer automatically switch to bipedal mode, instead doing the bite (like spino). Bite attack can still be done whenever with X.

Raptor
- Fix a bug that causes the pack leader buff to disappear on reload.

Diplo
- Wild diplos will use tail attack in self defense after taking a certain amount of damage. Will not use it on unmounted players. (Dossier accuracy)

Baryonyx
- Wild Baryonyx will only aggro onto creatures that are touching water. Leaving the water will cause it to deaggro after some time. (Dossier accuracy)
- Right-click on land is a claw swipe that deals 30 damage. Has a slight cool-down and can not be used with insufficient stamina.

Allo
- Right-click on Non-pack leader allo is a claw attack that deals 25 damage and hits twice, with a cool-down. Allo IRL used its claws plenty.

Chalicotherium
- Rock throw deals concussive damage, making it theoretically possible to use it to tame Rock Elementals, Karkinos, or Titanosaurus.

Carcharodontosaurus
- Does no longer remap naturally, for same reasons as Giga.

Deinonychus
- Given back its percentage-based bleed, but with a cap of 300 health drained per proc (at a full 5 stacks, that ends up being 1500). Does not affect creatures above 550 drag weight. (That unique bleed was deinon's entire gimmick, c'mon man)

Argentavis
- Given different animations for Left-click attack and C grab. (Wildcard was lazy for reusing the same attack animation THRICE!)

There are very few ARK mods that remap the Carcha (much newer), but there are a LOT of mods that remap the Giga (was released in 2015). This is why the choice was made to remap the Carcha, but NOT the Giga.

Gallimimus
- Health increased to 300
- Drag weight reduced to 180
- Immune to fall damage
- Reduced turn radius
- Weight Increased to 500 to more easily facilitate its use as a multi-passenger transport mount
- LMB attack damage increased to 15, with increased knockback
