Not sure if there's anything I can do in this case, those light rays are just like any other models except their diffuse texture being uncompressed for a smooth gradient appearance (RGBA16161616), I'm guessing that's what causing this, maybe it's just not supported on Linux?

Yeah, thought that might be the case but I wanted to post anyways just in case. It may only be an issue with the Nvidia drivers on Linux since they work generally poor compared to the AMD drivers. Anyways, thanks for looking into the issue and best of luck with the map!


Have you noticed a similar bug in other maps containing Godrays? On top of my head, I can't remember which maps contain godrays though.

I found a pillar that was z fighting on the A bombsite next to the octopus fence.

I also found an angle that can be very easily abused. At the same octopus fence you can boost up a teammate behind the tree and it gives them a pixel angle through the leaves onto mid that leaves the boostee almost invisible to the enemy. I'm not sure if this was intentionally left in, but I just wanted to bring attention to it in case it needs to be fixed.

On the B site, the sandbags in my opinion should be clipped more uniformly in order to prevent weird bounces. I personally would clip them to act like a flat box

I found this bug whilst retaking bombsite A and found it a little unfair to the few people I killed because of it.

When you stand on the road above the site, you are given a clear indication of where they are on the site as enemy locations appear on your mini-map. When looking through the curb however you are not given any indication of enemy whereabouts.

Shooting at the blue window covers behind the truck outside B main entrance allows you to see the outline of enemies through smokes

Sometimes fbi models get a shiny face glitch and you can do the see through glitch on some of the post canisters 📮 like the rock near the house on de_lake

Also, congrats to both of you on having the map included in the latest update, it's come such a long way since the mapcore entry version. Been having a lot of fun playing it and it looks stunning. I'd love to see some more colour and variation on B site as it still looks a bit bleak compared to the rest of the map, but I'm nitpicking. Bombsite A is a treat to play on, looks and feels very unique.

I'd like to start this comment by saying that I really do enjoy playing Mocha. I wish nothing but the best to its creators and for the map itself. With that said, there are quite a few things that rub me the wrong when about some of the map's layout and some of its props.

Firstly, let's talk about mid. I understand that the map is trying to go for a fast type of mid like Dust 2 or Inferno, but at the moment it feels like CT has a huge advantage on it. They get there earlier than Ts, which in itself is fine, but they can easily get to lower mid before the Ts have even stepped foot into mid.
When it comes to the sites themselves, I don't have much of a problem with their gameplay. They feel fun to me and there's no annoying corners to check. The corners that do exist have a reason to be there. The problems I do have with the sites have to do with what you can and can't do on them. For example, take T side B site when you come through outside. Why are the giant wooden windows not open? I can understand the skylights not being open because that'd be way too good for set nades, but it feels like you should at least be able to use some of the windows there. It also feels like the storage room window should be open, just like the stairs window. After that, you have the issue of the truck, the coffee bags and the small balcony above the coffee bags. I don't understand why you're allowed to jump onto the small coffee bags next to the truck, but not onto the truck itself. If you were able to jump onto the truck, you should also be able to jump onto the pallets of coffee bags and potentially even boost up to the small balcony above them. This type of issue where you're not able to go on certain surfaces happens a lot in the map. I'll concentrate on that for this next section.


At the very back of B site, closer to CT spawn, there's a couple of pallets of coffee bags. On other maps you're generally able to jump on the orange lift thing there and then you'd be able to jump on the bags. Here you have to jump to the pipe first and only then can you jump down to those bags. Next, you can jump from catwalk/heaven down onto the electrical box, but you can't jump onto the wooden pallet that's next to it even tho you can jump on other similar props elsewhere on the same bombsite. It feels like you should be able to get boosted up to the balcony, but that's simply impossible here. I understand that the spot may be too powerful, but then I'd recommend moving the balcony further away from the big electrical box just so it's clear that you can't get boosted there. It also feels like you should be able to jump from the control panel to the tall pile of coffee bags next to it.

Next, there's quite a few big and fluffy flower pots around the map. To me it feels like you should be able to jump crouch onto them. I understand that this'd make for really good cover, maybe too good in fact, and that it's the reason why you can't jump on them, but that's a bad excuse. If it's too good then maybe change the plant in them or make it so it's obvious that you can't jump on them. The issue of the wooden pallet appears again in other spots on the map. In the cubby on Alley, for example. I also think that it should be possible to jump onto the little wall next to tunnel and the yellow car.

Next up, A site. When you come out of short you can jump on a little railing. This looks like it'd allow you to jump onto a part of the scaffolding right next to it. I understand that someone standing there would be really powerful against T sides coming from alley, but then maybe add a railing or something similar so that players know they can't jump there. From A platform it feels like you should be able to jump onto the thick wall on the site, but it's impossible. The same thing goes for the platform truck on which you could get boosted, or even jump up yourself using the currently unusable wooden pallet that's on the side of it. It also feels like you should be able to get boosted on top of blue.

These are all minor problems. I feel like the gameplay itself is super fun and I love playing the map, but these little problems start to add up after a while. Like I said before, I wish nothing but the best for this map and there are plenty of aspects that I love about it. The Inferno and Mirage style open skybox allow for a lot of ingenuity with grenades. The interesting A site layout that kind of circles the site is super cool and the way that rotations work on the map is really fun. I would say the most pressing issue for me would be to fix mid, as it simply doesn't feel very fun to play T side. Perhaps adding a corridor on lower mid that leads to arch would help, but CTs would probably still get there super early and in the end it might do nothing at all. Maybe it could instead lead to that door in connector so that it'd be slower for CTs to get there? Maybe opening up that window in kitchen would help for mid control as well. Idk just random ideas.

EDIT: You could potentially close off the current mid entrance that's right next to spawn so that the CTs would have to go through A connector before reaching mid. That might take too long and they wouldn't be able to properly rotate B if you do that however.

My friend and I found out that if player drops weapons on the edge of the stone road outside CT spawn, sometimes the weapons could pass through the surface. We haven't tried it anywhere else.

Great Map to be clear, but:
1. It would be great if you could jump on a few plants.
2. Smoking CT-Mid is very hard as T (can´t really cover the entire gateway)
--> add some kind of small wall at the left side of the stairs or smth
3. Going on the Truck at CT-Street would potentially open up a new angle
--> for balancing aspects maybe make it better penetrateable (if possible noob to map creation)
4. At B (from T-Side) you can watch through the van door and see ct´s pushing
