Late Bloomer Migration Guide
This guide is for anyone migrating from S+ from the May 18th, 2020 patch or later. If you have not updated your server yet or are using a backup that’s still using the July 11th, 2019 patch notes (save from May 17th, 2020 or earlier), see the Early Adopter Migration Guide.

This guide is for those of you moving from S+ to SS (Super Structures). Originally it was much easier to move over, but this process is no longer simple. Not all of your structures will convert and some structures will need picked up and grinded. If your server has a regular wipe schedule, its advisable to simply wait for the wipe and then convert (you’ll still need to look at the INI changes down below, see #2). If you do not have regular wipes, here is the process for migration.

First of all, I strongly recommend that you test this on a test server before implementing this on your real one just to make sure everything is working correctly especially due to the complexity and number of changes.

Before you swapout:
  1. The primary mod folder, folder paths, and all blueprint names are the same as they were in the July 11th, 2019 S+ release. Not changing the names means this mod will create problems when paired with any other S+ Variants or S+ itself and will still have the homestead conversion on restart. Any S+ Structure of the following cannot convert and will be removed from the game on swapout (anything with a * next to its name is a unique S+ structure and does not exist in SS):

    Equivalent structure in SS but won't convert:
    • S+ Dedicated Storage
    • S+ Flex Pipes (Metal, Stone)
    • S+ Double Doors (Adobe, Greenhouse, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood)
    • S+ Double Doorways (Adobe, Greenhouse, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood)
    • S+ Triangle Ceilings (Adobe, Greenhouse, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood)
    • S+ Triangle Foundations (Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood)
    • S+ Triangle Roofs (Adobe, Greenhouse, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood)
    • S+ Fence Supports (Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood)
    • S+ Large Walls (Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood)
    • S+ Ramps (Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood)
    • S+ Omni Tool / S+ Multi-Tool (most of these tools still exist, just as separate guns and are accessed via a radial menu the player has at at all times)
    • S+ Cryofridge
    • S+ Pressure Plate
    • S+ Tek Sensor
    • S+ Ocean/Cliff Platforms (SS uses Ocean Foundations instead)
    • S+ Repulser Pad (SS uses the SS Tek Jump Pad)
    • S+ Transmutator (Functions of S+ Transmutator/Mutator all exist in SS Mutator, some modes in S+ don't exist in SS, Corrupt pulse available in SS, but not S+)
    • S+ Egg Incubator
    • S+ Loadout Mannequin
    • S+ Tek Crop Plot
    • S+ Dedicated Storage Interface (SS Dino Uplink)
    Unique to S+ and won't convert:
    • S+ Transfer Control Unit*
    • S+ Tek Tree Sap Tap*
    • S+ Tek Oil Pump*
    • S+ Saddle Platforms*
    • S+ Chibi Display*
    • S+ Toilet*
    • S+ Tek Floating Foundation*
    • S+ Starter Block*
    • S+ Dermis Display*
    • S+ Item Aggregator*
    • S+ Harvester*
    • S+ Propagator*
    • S+ Resource Generator*
    Therefore it is recommended that you pickup and grind these items before you migrate. If you don’t have any of these items placed, the rest of your structures should be converted with no problem.
  2. Several ini setting names INCLUDING the header have been changed. That includes:
    • Vanilla pickup settings do not work on SS structures, please refer to Config Setting Details for the correct INI options to use.
    • The following config options don't exist in SS:

    • The following config options were renamed or changed:
      • Config header changed from [StructuresPlus] to [SuperStructures]
      • SPlusAutoTurretSlotCount -> SSAutoTurretSlotCount (Please see config setting details / defaults as every turret now has its own slot config)
      • SPlusCraftingStationSlotCount -> SSCraftingStationSlotCount
      • SPlusHeavyTurretSlotCount -> SSHeavyTurretSlotCount
      • SPlusCraftingStationCraftingSpeed -> SSCraftingStationCraftingSpeed
      • TekAlarmTribeLimit -> TekSensorLimit (soft limit instead of hard limit)
      • AlarmPlateTribeLimit -> PressurePlateLimit (soft limit instead of hard limit)
      • AllowGrindingMissionRewards -> GrinderAllowMissionRewards
      • DisableItemCollectorPoopDistribution has been removed in favor of a new INI setting ItemCollectorDistributionBlacklist= please see the INI settings here for more information on what to put there.
      • DisableCrossTeamTeleport has been removed in favor of a new INI setting CrossTeamTeleportSetting= please see the INI settings here for more information on what to put there.
      • MaxMutatorRangeInFoundations has been replaced, see config setting details for more information.
      • The NoFoundationsRequired config in SS does not allow foundations to be freely placed in the air, however, you should be able to migrate without these structures collapsing. (Would still test this to be safe)
      • FeedingTroughMaxRangeInFoundations -> FeedingTroughAdditionalRangeInFoundations
      • TekFeedingTroughMaxRangeInFoundations -> TekFeedingTroughAdditionalRangeInFoundations
      • MutatorAllowBreedingNeutered -> MutatorPreventBreedingClonedOrNeutered (config setting logic reversed)
      • TribeCropPlotLimit -> CropPlotLimit (area limit instead of tribe limit)
      • TribeGavagerLimit -> GavagerLimit (area limit instead of tribe limit)
      • TribeVivariumLimit -> VivariumLimit (area limit instead of tribe limit)
    If you use ASM on your server, you may need to manually remove the old S+ settings from your INI
  3. Please note, certain plants like Plant Species R / X / Y will still exist in the world when you swapout (specifically related to S+/SS Tek Crop Plot), so you may need a map wipe of them.
  4. Decay Destruction Multipliers are equalized in SS, so on swapout, expect decay timers to change (some structures with originally higher decay timers may decay immediately if enough time has passed and your server runs the Auto Decay option)
  5. The SS Replicator & SS Industrial Forge has been reduced in size to fit inside 4-high walls, your existing structures will likewise be downsized upon swapout. (These sizes are not presently adjustable in SS)
  6. The Item collector model is different so likewise, your item collector models will look different (they also use gasoline instead of propellant so people will need to swap out the fuel)

Once you have done everything above, all the structures not listed above should convert. At that point you can swap out the mods and proceed.
