The words of power can also be really difficult to use since they have a lot of endlag and can easily be destroyed by any attack. You can still kind of throw one out there and keep moving but it really gimps you if the opponnent has a sliding attack or something and then its useless or worse since they can counter shoot and hit you with the reflect.
I also wanna say the payoff for greater pyroblast is really underwhelming. it can do between 10-40 damage, it always sends upwards so it cant edgeguard and it only kills at really high percents. For something that can "kill gods" it barely does anything to a lightweight at 60.
So right now it kinda feels like you just have to stun someone with your dair into something else, jump around the platforms dropping down cats, win neutral with the shotgun or edgeguard with the cats, the shotgun or his tilt attack.
Also his up-b can be really janky at times and with the shape of some stages it can be really damn hard to get back if you arent at the perfect angle. That might be me sucking but there's some jank in there.
Overall, though the character is really damn sick but i feel like he could maybe use tuning. BTW what the hell is a "siggneos" anyway?
I'm really unhappy with where Pyroblast is currently, I was trying really hard to get Briggs into curated and they kept making me nerf it a ton. But it's gotten to the point where I'm more interested in just making the character fun. So I'll prob go back and buff Pyroblast soonish.
My best tip for using Pyroblast currently is to use it off stage while the enemy is recovering which basically forces them to run into it or die and kills them a bit sooner.
His smash attacks could use some reworks for sure. Prob just some knockback and angle adjustments.
His words are a really good way to force your enemies into bad positions by blocking off other options. Also a really good ledge guarding tool if used correctly. The words haven't been changed much since launch, what I might do is reduce the endlag but increase the move cool down time so you can only place one at a time.
His recovery is def a little tricky to get use to, but you can use it really aggressively if you it the enemy and combo into aerials. It also gives you your double jumps back when you hit something with it, so make sure you use all your double jumps then use it, to get 2 extra jumps. The 2 extra jumps should help a lot with recovering on some stages.
Siggneos is taken from this tabletop rpg called Urealms. It's basically a really rare spell that multiplies the amount of times you cast your next spell by the amount you roll on a d20. When playing the character King Briggs is based off, my friend rolled 20 on a siggneos roll and then he casted Greater Pyroblast and rolled another 20, which ended up blowing up the whole Prison the campaign was set in and whipping out the boss we where fighting in one hit. Plus according to rules Greater Pyroblast can kill a god, meaning 20 of them could kill 20 gods if used correctly.
Also if you up the cooldown on the words of power i'd appreciate if you added some kind of indication when he can use them again like a spark in his eye or something since even right now it can be a bit tough to know since some words last longer than others. If you just make it so you can use one right after another one completely disappears i guess it could fix it but i dunno.
But hey thats my two cents. Personally i quite liked my idea of him kicking the chopping block in frustration making it a projectile since it fits with his character but do what you think feels right.
