Inventory management
For the past months, whenever I've been playing Barotrauma, there was 1 thing that consistently made me pass wrecks, ruins and caves and just keep going because I was not looking forward to it. It's inventory management. Sometimes I wouldn't even start the game when I had a taste for it, but then remembered I would have to click pictures for 30 minutes to sort the stuff on the sub.

I want to investigate the following conceptual changes to wrecks and ruins:
-less items
-more rewarding items

Overall, wrecks and ruins would stay rewarding and have increased focus on diver combat. What I'd remove is opening 20+cabinets with trash in them and instead have a couple treasure rooms.

2nd major aspect is immersion. I don't like to see things like intact diving masks full of oxygen and organics in extremely rusted cabinets on wrecks. What I want is going to a wreck, have about 10 minutes of intense diver combat, get some dopamine from the treasure room/rooms and knowing that's the entire reward from the wreck and then GTFO. Similiar with ruins.

What I want to see in the comments is your experience with inventory management in vanilla (both SP and MP) and suggestions.

An interesting proposition - how would this impact mods that add more wreck variety?

I'd not make something that would make the mod incompatible with wreck, beacon or ruins mods.
Very interesting. I would say that I am looking forward to seeing this implemented, yes. Inventory management is pretty annoying. Would help if the actual game devs did a few things like making, say, weapon reloading not be an intensive point and click adventure process but until then I would say this would help.

perhaps have different kinds of treasure rooms if thats possible i.e lots of weapons in the armory or a cargo room full of a specific genre of cargo like the player would accept missions for (mining cargo, medical, mineral etc)
