Can I add Into The Abyss to an existing campaign
Hey! ITA Noob here.

I had a campaign running with some friends on an older version of the game with ITA, but since the new Vanilla update was launched and we weren't sure when ITA would release a fix, we restarted the campaign in Vanilla.

Now that the ITA mod is up to date and working on the latest version of the game we'd really like to get back to playing with it, but it would be a shame to have to restart the campaign since we've made a bit of progress and most importantly made changes to the sub.

So the question is: Can I add the mod to the game and run it on the existing vanilla campaign?

You can carryover progress from your campaign to a new one by copying some text from one file to another. Ask someone on discord how to do it (how to decompress save, its fairly popular).
Alternatively, make a backup of your save and just try it. You won't get a changed map locations on the overmap, but if you are fine with it, you should be alright just turning on the mod. If not, revert to backup.
