Auto Lost on Defence Without Generating Map

Whenever my settlement is attacked I don't get a chance to defend it. I have a squad set to defend it, and click on manual defence, but it immediately posts a loss without even generating the map. Anyone have this issue?

Alright sounds good, also it's not an auto loss, but an auto resolve. I have won some of the defences but same issue.
