The Rain
I want people to tell me if the rain is a problem on the map and if i should remove it please let me know.

i havent played it yet, but rain does intend to lower ppl's fps, so if you get alot of complaints off the lag, that might be the culprit, but its good for now.

the thing is that rain on this map is a staticmesh so its not so much about it been lagy its more if its in the way and dont abel to players

Hi, thanks by the map, great work looks very nice! but the rain is something annoying, you cannot put it as darkforest? more gray and translucent

i cant change the texture on it sadly dont know why its not like on darkforest its the same staticmesh that darkforest has. i can take alook in to it to see what i can do.

I put it in my server, people says too much fog and little visibility, the map is fun, one way and epic battles, do you think about making king objective and climb a castle tower? best regards

Im thinking of adding one last obj yes, but its up to depate on it if its a bit overkill to have 5 obj or not. The fog and little visibility is the big part with the map, I can make one more map thats this one but i remove the rain and lower the fog but the dark and fog nature of the map is promoting us compeditiv players so it will be harder for casuls.
I like rain, but this rain is just a bit... visually repulsive, to put it harshly.
I for one think it could be fun to have vision somewhat limited by heavy rain, but surely there must be a somewhat better way to pull it off. This map was cozy and has great potential, anyways. I think a good rain effect will really contribute to the experience!

i cant do more do effect the rain i can make it rain less but thats all its a texture that stuck like that

i can but up the dinamic light a bit high and see if that helps its a bit hard to to know what okay seens for me i dont need to put up my gamma but i will look at it and work on it

Btw is it possible to do custom maps without any experience? And how long did it take you for your map? I'm kinda intrested in trying to do a custom map on my own but I don't know if it's even reasonable todo so if I don't know the tools at all.

I have no experienc at the unreal or any tools that work like that and for me it work. It took me around maybe 3-4 month to make every thing just work on Urskogen but once you get the hang of it, it gets easyer to do here is a link to were i learn all of my stuff from: http://worldofleveldesign.com/categories/cat_udk.php also TO maps are the hardest of them to realy make so maybe start with an TDM or LTS FFA they dont theymand any triggers to real work

have new about the light on urskogen i cant make it birghter becuas of the trees on the map only one way for me to map i brigth and thats to change how the trees akt and then the map will los its touth but i have tryde to fix it a bit for you guys so hop it helps
