alright :) .. but just to mention it one more time: maybe there are some aspects of the galaxy view that you like more than others and then you could check from which mod they are (because the mod you asked about is an all-in-one collection of individual mods that is incompatible as a whole). but some of those individual mods that are included in the collection might be compatible with ACG if you only use them together with ACG. so feel free to ask about compatibility of individual mods anytime
Pinwheel Galaxy + Quadrant Fixed + Whiter Stars - now the galaxy map looks much nicer. You have listed these mods as ACG compatible. :)

Yea you can use Pinwheel Galaxy + Quadrant Fixed + Whiter Stars. i usually use them too :)

EDIT: For some reason the Steam launcher sees the link as a malicious threat but when opened in a browser instead of Steam itself it loads just fine
Just off the top of my head I know Guilli's Technologies, Ethics and Civics, Expanded Traditions and Expanded Ascension Perks have techs, traditions, civics and perks to do with now non-existent Defense Platforms.
I'm not hugely bothered by a couple of wasted techs, bonuses and perks over a run, but I just thought I should mention it.
just for your information: your link is malicious because of the () .. if you only write the link without () then it would be fine for steam.
Regarding the collection: first of all this collection (i.e. some mods of it) is conflicting with some of ACG's own adjustments how the galaxy should look. before you use such collections that interfere with ACG's own graphical changes make sure that this is really what you like and that you want to overwrite ACG.
So some mods are compatible and some mods of the collection are not compatible
=> Pinwheel Galaxy mods are compatible
=> Light Borders is not compatible because ACG has it's own Graphical Bordering System (based on Aesthetic Borders). although if you do not like ACG's bordering system you could overwrite it if you use Light Borders and load it after ACG
=> No Names on the Map is compatible with ACG
=> Quadrant Fixed is compatible with ACG
=> Softer Hyperlanes is not compatible because ACG adds it's own softer hyperlanes. having said that it's the same like Light Borders, so you can overwrite ACG if you load this mod after ACG
=> Whiter Stars is compatible with ACG
=> Flat Nameplates is not compatible with ACG. theoretically you could also load it after ACG but it might look strange combined with other ACG changes. that's for you to find out though if you feel like you really want/need to use it with ACG :)

now i am not sure if you know so i thought i might mention it here as well: so first of all i already adjusted corresponding technologies and ascension perks for the new starbase changes. so vanilla technologies and vanilla ascension perk that was previously adding something to military stations have been reworked already (same for some other mods where i updated the compatibility patches)
regarding Guillis Technologies: there is a compatibility patch available for ACG + Guillis Technologies. Included in the compatibility patch are adjustments to technologies that previously buffed defense stations (they now buff starbases). are you using the ACG Guillis Technologies comp. patch? You may also want to take a look at all the other Comp. patches that are mentioned in the first comment of this thread just in case you might have missed one and need it.
regarding Ethics and Civics, Expanded Traditions and Expanded Ascension Perks => i will check them out later and look for potential incompatibilities. thank you for mentioning it!
if you see something in particular that needs to be reworked due to the starbase changes, please don't hesitate to let me know about it. Of course i will not keep any "wasted" technologies/traditions etc. i will provide solutions for it :)
i just checked Expanded Stellaris Traditions by Girion and i could not find a modifier for military stations? did you probably remember wrong about this mod or could you maybe tell me where you saw a defense station modifier? :)
regarding the other two mods you mentioned:
1. Something about Ethics and Civics => which mod do you mean? there are a lot of Ethics and Civics mods on the workshop please send me the link so i can check it.
2. Expanded Stellaris Ascension Perks by Girion => you are right there is one ascension perk that is not only not compatible but also conflicting with ACG. Hence you would need a compatibility patch here. I can look into such a compatibility patch but did you ask me about checking this mod before? Because i can't find it in the compatible mods list of ACG (i will just add it as incompatible for now)
Maybe you asked and i just forgot to add it but in case you did not ask: i just want to remind you: i do not recommend to use ANY mod together with ACG that is not explicitly marked as compatible in the compatible mods list or that you or somebody else asked about compatibility in this thread.
If you want me to provide a compatibility patch for Expanded Stellaris Ascension Perks by Girion let me know and i will do it. If you meant another mod then please send me the link. Thanks in advance!
edit: I just checked again and i mistook a vanilla ascension perk for a new ascension perk. so there is only one ascension perk that is not compatible with ACG but it's only the vanilla one that i already replaced with a new ascension perk. Therefore you can safely use Expanded Stellaris Ascension Perks with ACG. ACG will overwrite the necessary ascension perk and i did not see any other ascension perk or modifier for defense stations. let me know if you find one :)

I'm using Ethics and Civics Alternative 2.7 which has a lot of content I haven't thoroughly checked since I only recently started using it but one civic leapt out at me:Paranoid Isolationism, which gives bonus Defense Platforms[i.imgur.com]

I only found these instances since I figured now was a better time then ever to do a xenophobic isolationist playthrough which these Starbase changes have been great for. It always bothered me how the janky the Defence Platforms looked spinning around during battles. Removing them completely was the best fix.
Again, nothing here was gamebreaking for me and probably don't need the effort for comp patching.

1. regarding "guillis technologies"
you are right. i forgot to remove this technology. i just removed it now and updated the compatibility patch for guillis technologies. thank you for pointing this out!
2. regarding the "addon" mods of extended stellaris traditions and extended stellaris ascension perks. well look: i am trying to provide a lot of compatibility and patches and i am also putting a lot of effort into the presentation of compatibility i.e. compatible mods list. but:
when a mod is mentioned as compatible in the compatible mods list, that does not mean that every submod or addon mod of this mod is also compatible. it only means that exactly the mod mentioned in the compatible mods list is compatible.
i stated several times that i do not recommend to use ANY mod that is not explicitly mentioned as compatible in the compatible mods list that includes any submod or addon mod. i do not have the time to check the whole workshop for compatibility. so if you want to use mods together with ACG that are not mentioned in the compatible mods list then first ask me to check their compatibility or you use them at your own risk but then you should not be surprised if you encounter bugs (and like i said i really do not recommend that)
if you had asked me about compatibility with those addon mods then i would most likely have been able to tell you that they are not compatible with ACG because of the conflicts you mentioned (and maybe even more - i did not check their whole code yet)
having said that i do not have time to provide compatibility patches for every submod of another mod. so i hope for your understanding when i will only provide compatibility with the main mods of "Extended Stellaris Traditions" and "Extended Stellaris Ascension Perks" but not any sub- or addon-mods in addition
3. regarding "Ethics and Civics Alternative 2.7"
i just checked the mod again and there are several incompatibilities beyond defense station conflicts. so right now i can't recommend to use this mod together with ACG without a compatibility patch. i will see if i can provide a compatibility patch with a reasonable amount of time and effort but can't promise that i will be able to provide one - especially if i determine that it's too much work
i hope for your understanding and i hope you will still be able to enjoy ACG :)

I was wondering, since you got a comp patch for Ethics and Civics Alternative, could one maybe be provided for Ethics and Civics Classic as well? I realize it's probably a bit more work, but it'd be greatly appreciated.
Also, how compatible is Additional Traits by Granhyt? It seems to work fine with ACG on its own, but trying to combine it with Guilli's Technologies and the ACG comp for that leads to a bunch of crashes to desktop.

regarding Ethics and Civics Classic => i will check and see if i can provide compatibility for this mod but i can't promise anything since my time is limited and i already have a lot of compatibility patches to maintain (you also have to consider that those patches will need updates in the future and i can't provide comp. patches for every mod on the workshop otherwise i don't have any time left for modding ACG itself). but if i can provide a comp patch for this mod with a reasonable amount of time and effort then i will let you know
regarding Additional Traits by Granhyt => this mod should be fine to use with ACG (and Guillis Tech + ACG GT Comp. patch)
regarding Guillis Technologies => thank you so much for telling me about your issue! now that was an unusual and complicated one - took me quite some time to figure out what was causing your problems. at first i was really confused because i could not find any code issues but after checking again and again i figured that due to the most recent ACG updates from now on i need to add and rework another file of Guillis Technologies to the Comp patch as well or it would cause the crashes to desktop. i never had to rework that file in the past and i did not think it would be necessary.. but meh at least i do know now. so i just updated the comp. patch and i did not encounter such issues anymore after the update. i hope everything is working out fine for you now. if you encounter any issues please let me know :)
I'll understand if you can't get a comp patch for Ethics and Civics Classic, it's a pretty hefty one. Figured I'd give it a shot in the hopes that maybe your work with the Alternative version might be used as a springboard. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
