"The Corporate Shuttle", it would use uranium fuel pods. There would be three kinds
of shuttle, The "Luxury shuttle" The "Industrial shuttle" and the "Attack shuttle".
A couple quests to start with:
Surveyor Escort: Host a corporate pawn as they look for some sort of resource, then having to install and protect a corporate megadrill.
Product Recovery: A pirate camp is spawned nearby that is holding several items in a fortified building. Would then have to either bring it back home then load it onto a shuttle or take it to a nearby settlement for transport.
Mining Assistance: The corp requests a small number of mining-capable pawns to leave and help set up a mining drill elsewhere in the world. Skilled mining pawns may reward you with a decent amount of metals or components upon return.
Omnidrill Protection: Would be the game-ending quest for the corp, starts off like the Surveyor escort but the corp instead lands an enormous drill you have to be able to supply a constant stream of power for. Insects and mechanoid raids will come as the drill progresses, and if the drill finishes a large group of shuttles arrives to bring both it and your pawns to the corporate fleet.
Some suggestions:
Neurocomputer - I like the concept of buffing skills, but currently you can only get a buff to research, wardening, and trading. How about a more generic buff like 4% to all skill speeds, or a reduction in the decay rate of tiredness and recreation. Something that would make sense to stack 6 times and not just benefit Social and Intellectual. Also sense Royals mostly benefit from Social this would spread the love.
Call Mercenary - I'd love to see some variety and thematic changes. Keep a low level fighter, but replace higher level ones. (side note, the mercenary I recieved had 0 medical skill and would try to heal his own wounds. It took him 8 hours)
Ideas:
Catering - Cargo pods of fine or lavish meals can be delivered
Stimulus - A random Vase/Sculpture/Clothing item of an uncommon material gets delivered
Burning the midnight oil - A short term beacon that increases consciousness temporarily
Hostile takeover - ?
R & D - 2 people in lab coats arrive and set up reseach benches. They boost research for a day or 2
Make it rain -
Capital injection - target a small meteorite to hit designated area
Halt trading - wide area EMP burst.
I'd also like to see something different than a throne room. Maybe a podium or a meeting room.
Great job so far!
And the Mercenaries being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ at medical is on-par with royal soldiers. Nothing out of place there, though I might make the soldiers and bionic soldiers have first aid training.
I'm not super liking the Neurocomputer as-is either tbh. I'll look into your ideas.
Also, as far as a corporate equivalent of speeches? Motivational meetings that buff (or debuff) global work speed.
Also I did add a modified speech event called a meeting - so there is that already. Same exact effect.
Adding a few royal quests could be nice too. Royals are obsessed with rare artifacts, corps with silver.
royals tax the trade, corps wanna sell the tech that makes the royals unique. They hate each other and I wanna war. lol
