The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Craftable Guns
A few bugs I noticed, not major but too many characters for a comment.
Hey man, first off, love this mod. I've had no stability issues with it or anything that others have mentioned, so it must be a compatibility thing. Nothing is more fun than riding around on horseback with the huge flintlock musket. I would like to point out a couple of small issues I HAVE noticed however.

1. The Blunderbuss can be loaded with Musket Balls instead of scattershot and works fine (Not sure if that's intentional, but its a thing)

2. The weapons, specifically the musket do not sit quite right in the weapons racks and plaques. I tried to decorate my home with them. I tried placing them on Racks and Plaques and the only one one that seems to have sat correctly so far is the pistol. (I can link screenshots of this if necessary.)

3. Pistol improvements. I had one "Flintlock Pistol (Superior)" in my inventory, and tried to improve a second to Superior as well. It upgraded on the grindstone, took resources etc, however it then reset to just "Flintlock pistol" and had to be re-upgraded again, at which point the bug repeated.

4. Not sure if this was intentional but the Muskets have an enchantment that you can break them down for. I'm assuming that was intentional though.

5. Muskets, Blunderbuss and pistols cannot be enchanted. Not a major issue, but I really wanted to have a soul eating pistol or something cool like that.

6. The blunderbuss AND musket are glitched when dropped. I dropped them inside of Breezeholme and they vanished. I searched high and low and could not find them. In the end I used TCL to turn the collision off, I found the guns, they were dropped outside or the walls of the house. The pistol Drops correctly however.

One other thing, It's been ages since I played Dawnguard so I don't know what weapon you based the pistol on, but the pistol doesn't seem to be counted under the archery perks like the musket is. If I wish to improve my pistol skills via perks, which tree should I invest perks into? One handed?

If I find anything else I'll let you know here, but so far this is all I've noticed. Dunno if you're looking for bug reports but I hope it helps.

Soul-Trapping pistol sounds really badass, totally behind that idea 100%.

I should update this a little. I DID run into an issue where pistols crashed my game. BUT. I kind of brought it upon myself, I was carrying two of them and inside a cave rapid firing them one after the other. That eventually crashed me, but not right away.

Also IKR, Soul trapping pistol, elemental bullets. Stamina draining bullets, Holy bullets (undead flee). If I could take the enchant from silver swords I'd totally put that on my musket.

Oh and something funny I noticed. If you use the block button with the musket, directly after reloading it (usually one or two seconds) and hit someone, sometimes it'll play a stabbing sound, and do the full damage of the bullet that was recently fired. It's quite funny when I shoot an archer then stab a charging swordsman with my barrel. XD

hay, the problem with the pistol is probly its self, as in you carrying two might not be able to tell which is which when fireing so that could be one thing.

Possibly, was just a matter of left hand, right hand, it seemed to work alright for awhile. But as I said in my above post, I kind of tempted fate because the pistol hadn't crashed me until that point. I learned to just stick with the Musket, it's the most effective thus far.

You can duel weild it. Already, at least for the purposes of screenshots.

My game looks horrible but I do like the look of the character.

1: We can't avoid that, but It does work better with the scattershot since it fires mutliple at once.
2: The blunderbuss and musket are retextures of crossbows while the pistol is a retexture of staff. The way it sits on a rack depends on the original item. Sorry. :/
3: This is a very strange bug that I haven't heard anybody complain about. Next time, just try reloading the save. If it does continue, please inform us again.
4: The enchantment is to make the guns different from a crossbow. It increases or decreases speed, changes damage, and changes accuracy. We can't avoid you breaking it down, but it is sort of an immersion breaker, that's your choice.
5: The cannot be enchanted, because only one enchanment can be placed upon an item at a time. Unless you can the enchanted perk that allows you to add one more enchantment.
6: That seems like a game bug more then the mod. I will test this out, but the guns are just retextured crossbows.
Thank you.

1. A hardcode issue is a hardcode issue, can't be helped. No problem there then.

2. That would explain why they sat in strange positions. I'm not really using them to decorate my home anymore, as I found myself using all the spaces for unique weapons from the base game and still running out of spaces. Just wasn't sure if it was fixable, thanks for confirming it's more hardcoding.

3. Well since playing that save I ran into several issues with my laptop, have had to pull it apart physically, fix it, and then had to format the harddrive up. This means I no longer have the save file in which the bug occured. But I will certainly try to replicate it next time I use the mod, and let you know what happens, along with screenshots or maybe video if my laptop will allow it.

4. Alright so again, hardcode limits, makes sense really. It is a little immersion breaking but if I may ask. Would you get the same benefit from the enchantment if you used it on a crossbow or even a bow?

5. I think even with the enchanter perk, you have to either put 2 on at once. Otherwise you'll be stuck with one. I don't remember exactly though, it may be retroactive.

6. I do not know exactly, I've got the screenshots of it, but at the time I was not using any Breezeholme improvement mods or anything. That said I did not try dropping a regular crossbow inside of Breezeholme.

You're welcome and thank you for responding.

No problem, sorry that it wasn't replied to with any form of help earlier. I just started moderating this mod.

1) I've had similar problems with the dropping of the weapons. To explain: I've had multiple instances of a draugr whatever using the "disarm" shout causing my gun to get stuck in midair, thus becoming irretrievable. Were the physics disabled?

The workaround for this is the simple (non-immersive) solution of making and carrying back-ups as they are nearly as cheap as dirt to make (for me at least).

2) Perhaps I'm just that terrible of a shot, but why is the musket missing at least 80% of the time
at any range while the blunderbuss becomes my main sniper weapon? I'm talking within Fireball or even Flames range and missing 5 shots in a row when they're standing still. At long range? Forget trying. I'm aware that Skyrim archery is notoriously inaccurate but when I go back and get the sniper kill in the first shot with a blunderbuss *repeatedly*, I have to think something's not working quite right. I''l grant that perhaps it was something on my end since by the time I installed this mod, my game was starting to act up a bit.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem.

When I used the musket, the only thing I couldn't hit was the targets at the maximum view distance. Are you leading your shots at all? Because the enchantment on the guns speeds up the projectile speed so instead of travelling like an arrow it's more like a bullet. I found that when I stopped trying to lead my shots, I hit more often than missed.

The blunderbuss is probably getting those sniper kills because it loads and fires scattershot, which sprays everywhere.

The musket is not good at accuracy from a distance, or at all for that matter (just like real life), however it shouldn't be missing 80% of the time if you are up close. I honestly cannot see how it isn't working unless you may have the wrong bullets equipped? (Ex. Loading Blunderbuss Rounds into the Musket)

i havent used the mod in a while but when i used it when i shoot the flintlock pistol on an enemy (JUST that) the game crashes
