My good sir to say that I'm impressed by this mod is a horrendous understatement. First time i sat down I played I was like "wow this is really solid", so I countinued. By map 2 I was blown away, it was too awesome. And at level 3 at the pyramyd entrance when the cyber demon showed up and the music really kicked in I raised my hands In the air proclaming "holy ♥♥♥♥ this is ♥♥♥♥ing doom". I couldn't believe how engaged I was in the combat.

And it was, i was blown away, the combat is incredible, I love how you ported the interface with the sound cues when an ability comes back that's just, well excelent design. I loved how the cyberdemon was adapted and that he fought alongside other enemies, gave me a really nice classic doom vibe. At one point there were a ♥♥♥♥ ton of projectiles flying at me and you really feel like you are the Slayer and the enemy is throwing everything they have at you.

I love how some enemies are as dangerous as they were in the classic doom liek the revenant and the Cacodemon, they are quite tough and they shoud stay that way, i love their AI.

I like the AI very much, and how it's adapted to this playstyle. I love that the combat is like Eternal, but a bit different, IMO it's more like classic doom with the abilities of Eternal and that's just ♥♥♥♥ing fantastic. YOU NAILED THE FEEL OF THE WEAPONS. Especially for the plasma gun (beer on me for porting the Eternal plasma gun instead of 2016's).

Now here are some ideas I have.

Experiment with the lost soul, cause right now it tracks you like a Vore misslie from Quake 1 around a corner, it's almost unavoidable. Maybe make the like DOOM 1 and 2 where it attacks in a straight line and doesn't explode on impact but rather looks for you again and charges again. Would be fun to combat lost souls in classic DOOM style. (plus it would be even cooler if the pain elemental gets ported and starts spawning them).

Make proper edge climbing (no need for the hand animations at first just make it work).

The meathook lunging need just a little tweak as I feel that sometimes it doesnt get me where I want to (or maybe I need to git gud lmao)

I read that you are gonna port ETERNAL content, and I don't know what that means like a new mod or updating this one, I hope it's the latter, cause i'd rather have the shotgun and rocket launcher from Eternal as the models are in my personal taste much better.

Don't touch the cyberdemon he is perfect <3. I also kinda love that the chainsaw doesn't have a kill animation, it makes combat more dynamic. Also no need for glory kills I think, blood punch is quite enough.

I also wanted to say to have different weapon slots for the shotguns and the energy weapons but you made that update today already, what a lad <3.

Doesn't hurt about thinking of the longevity for this mod. i'm sure that if a tool kit is released for this mod specifiacaly, like the ability to make campaigns with key hunting and stuff, people will make maps for years and years to come.

What I (really) hope I see but it's not necessity is the classic DOOM GUY skln for the hands <3.

I hope you are encouraged to continue as this is fantastic, and over this weekend, this mod was all I talked about to my friends :). Can't wait to see what you do next dude. Stay safe and take care.

Well that will be a very late response but ive just realized i have some unread threads so sorry for that.Will also answer shortly.

Glad you enjoyed the demo, some of the ideas and the problems you have mentioned will be added and fixed so no worries.

What i mean by porting eternal is the full mod being pure eternal content while this demo is just a hybrid.

I can assure you that the demo compared to the full version will be ♥♥♥♥.
