I think you would succeed better if you just took away the dam and have an open map.
You'd have a higher intensity game that would encourage closer teamwork. Because right
now, it is entirely possible to COMPLETELY ignore the dam. It's not a focus for the map.
Actually, you did not make it focused and intense.
You made it dilute. Because the action is now all over the place.
Why not just play on an open map instead?
Look at the minimap at right. Now remove all paths (and the river, too). Just bring
together the two sides. Now doesn't that 'create a higher intensity game and encourages
team work' ? Mind you, you could achieve that with one big blank square of a map.
After all, topography just gets in the way of 'teamwork' :)
