Units
Ranged Infantry
- Clanrat Skirmishers
When the Clanrats of Skyre aren’t being mowed down by their adversaries, they’re often used as test subjects for Ikit’s various munitions and arms. As a result, many have learnt how to wield basic, gunpowder-based small arms through ‘experience’, and are often outfitted with them on the battlefront to make them feel more 'bold.'

Skirmishers are a low-tier, Skryre-exclusive hybrid between slingers and clanrats. Armed with both short-sword and Salvaged Pistols, as well as 360 firing, they're great at flanking, harassing and acting as decent damage sponges. Each individual Skaven having their own pistol makes each rat-thing a little bit more bold, meaning their morale is somewhat better in comparison to normal clanrats, but they have lower melee defense and numbers in turn.

- Blastvermin
Every clan has its own staple soldier - the Plague Monk, the Stormvermin or the Triad. When Morskittar conscribed to Ikit a new wave of techno-magical paradigms, he made sure to include Skryre's own, ready to carve into all other clans a message of fear and supremacy.

Blastvermin are small, elite units that pack immense power, but come at great unit cost and upkeep. They sport slightly better melee stats than Stormvermin (Halberds) while having the best missile stats out of all Weapons Teams and Ranged Infantry. While being slightly weaker in terms of defence, and having limited ammunition, their ranged attacks destroy armour and annihilate large units or clusters of infantry. Thereafter, they can enter melee and decimate.

The Blastvermin are meant to fill a big void that I felt had been present for the Skaven - an elite unit that compares to all other 'peak staple units'. The stock Stockvermin always fell short of that. These guys go well and beyond such a place in the roster.

Weapons Teams
- Warplock Muskets
From Jezzails came Warplock Muskets - condensed barrels, high-calibur warp-projectiles and sights allow for the mass production of regiments of mobile, skaven riflemen, ready to spray holes into coming advances of adversaries.

Warplock Muskets are a stopgap between Rattling Guns and Jezzails. While having much lower DPS then either, they are far more mobile and are able to function as powerful rifle-lines that can decimate infantry and cavalry if used effectively. They also sport far more ammunition, but won't last long in engagements due to low missile and melee defence. If you keep them alive, however, they can be a very effective addition to your arsenal.

- Warpflare Launchers
There be many adversaries that withstand the might of Skryre's firepower - the giants, dragons, dwarven heavies and chaos entities that do not stumble against a warp-lightning blast. Skryre has gone a step further - highly explosive power condensed into warpflares, of which can incinerate even the largest of foes.

Warpflare Launchers are the most elite of all weapons teams currently available to Skryre - able to decimate infantry, but more importantly, annihilate large units, monstrous units and warmachines with ease, but don't have the most convenient of range. While firing hundreds of flares that home, they are prone to misfires, and may injure infantry around them. Positioning is key. Also, they cost a HELL of a lot, as you'd expect.

Monstrous Infantry

- Steelfiends -
Well before Moulder and Skryre cooperated and birthed the Stormvermin, there was a discreet prototype. The Steelfiend, while lacking an auxillery brain (and thus unable to employ more sophisticated weaponry), is nonetheless an apex predator - a flesh-beast that combines ferocity with bright, burning warpfire.

Currently working this guy out - as the flavour text says, a predecessor to the Stormfiend (specifically the warpfire projector variation.) It'll be able to decimate in melee, or hold back and fire huge swathes of warpfire, with NO minimum range. Totally broken, so costs a lot. Feel free to try what i've got so far.
