Allowing and disallowing particular units, buildings, and techs
I would like to know what everyone thinks about allowing and disallowing these things. I personally like to keep as many options open as possible, to allow the most combinations and choices. I think it makes the game more interesting and fun to do more things. Still, some things have to be taken out.

-These are what I have taken out of the game.

-Transport ships---------- I took these out as they mainly pertain to certain quests and I wanted to make the crossing points between the great river Anduin more beneficial to obtain.
-Monasteries---------- I only took out monasteries from Gondor and Mordor, in part because I thought it would be unfair and unrealistic for say Mordor to build a monastery by the ring and then have Sauron ressurected.
Castles---------- I took these out for obvious reasons. Castles mark the important spots on the map, and would be unfair and unrealistic to be able to create more of them.
Walls---------- I have kept palisides but taken out stone walls. This is because I don't feel people should be allowed to recreate their very important places.

There are some main specifics that I would like to ask about. One is trebuchets. Trebuchets I feel are a very big tactical part of the game and for that reason should be kept. I also think that going at a place like Minas Tirith with battering rams would be way too hard and boring. Still, with not being able to build walls back and with the annoyance they may offer, it is a reasonable idea to take them out.
Second, I want to ask about buildings. Should buildings like archery ranges, stables, and seige workshops be taken out? I dont personally like only being able to create units out of 1 or so of them, but many people think differently on this, and it adds importance to those buildings you have ( I also think it takes out opportunities in the game).

Any response you have to this will be very helpful, thanks

In the movie series "The Lord of the Rings" do you see any building or construction going on other than camps being set up and palisides being erected. I think that the building of most buildings should be taken out, this helps yuo value and protect them more, and forces you to build your army early.

I agree with Scruffy441, buildings should not be able to be created for the reassons he has mensioned.

I also agree, the emphaiss should be on preservtion not rebuilding, in the movies neither side has the resources to do alot of rebuilding they have to focus their resources on their armies

1) Trebs should be removed. Siege Rams works fast enough imo, I don't like to snipe important locations. I rather have a Battle of Helms Deep for example and it also encourge people to do their missions to benefit in fights like Helms Deep.

2) Ethier way works viable i belive, I see interesting benefits from both ways. I would like to try the option of having important buildings wich you don't want to lose. It also reduce the stress factor of mass building and gives more time to focus on Missions and Heroes.

Current Building location should be overseen if that's the case.

seeing how trebuchets and bombard cannons have been used to destroy some of the main buildings through the backside and whatnot, i think i will take them out with the next update.

I agree with Joxxe in the matter of trebuches being removed. It removes sniping that could quickly destroy important buildings, especially if there are multiple. Barracks should be able to be built only if you can train up to men-at-arms from them.

I agree with the others that trebs should be removed, as they kinda ruin the game and the missions. However you could limit the game to, let's say castle age. Or only allow certain civs to make certain military buildings. E.g. britons archery range, but can upgrade all in it and mordor can make both archery range and barracks but only men at arms and normal archers.

I agree with taking most of those things out (trebs, buildings). Limiting buildings prevents absurd levels of expansion, and makes it more tactical. I find rams and onagers make for a more exciting fight. I also very much agree with being able to build palisades but not stone/fortified walls.

Remove Onagers.
