Cities loader.sh

I am on steam deck (desktop mode of course) but for the life of me cannot get the damn thing to build the cities_loader.sh file which is in turn rendering this and fps booster broken...plz help

Only native build is supported, if you try to use Proton compatibility one, it won't work.

I don't think I am using a compatibility layer, it should be running native since I launch from desktop right? Seems like if I want to use a compatibility layer I would go and override it in the game settings?
