Discovery: Combine Lab
under the map is a combine lab with a teleporter and a weird energy beam thingy. jumping into the beam will disintegrate the player.

using the teleporter will transport the player to a hidden room in the pond room. it is impossible to return to the room without no-clip, Seamless Portals, etc.
