I went to Markarth to check this mod out. When I entered the city, the excavation site guards were attacking the city guards. I assisted them and then entered the Warrens. As I approached the archaeologist both he and the guard attacked me. I then received a bounty notice and started getting attacked by the city guards. I thought that I had accidentally hit one of the Warren's residents, so I reloaded at the auto-save and the same thing happened.

I then reloaded my save from fast traveling to Markarth. Again the excavation guards were attacking the city guards. This time though I only assisted by healing the city guards instead of fighting. Upon entering the Warrens this time, I was able to proceed without being attacked.

In this game save, I fought on the Stormcloak's side and they are the ones in control of Markarth.


On an unrelated note, shouldn't a carrier be the one to deliver the letter you get from the archaeologist at the entrance in the Warrens?
