@BUTTERSKY11 As I mentioned in the comments I don't own Royalty which makes any sort of integration quite difficult for me to accomplish. For any sort of integration I think I'd have to make Royalty into a subset of PsiTech which I'm not certain is a great idea either from a compatibility standpoint. Beyond that, there's some major design differences between PsiTech and Royalty that make integration with the right "feel" difficult for me to accomplish.

Essentially, the short answer is that PsiTech will not integrate with Royalty for the foreseeable future.

Would it be possible to perhaps lace bionics with athenium to make them have less of an impact on essence loss?
K  [developer] 3 May, 2020 @ 1:51pm
@Bo0g1eMaN Probably, using the same system as the psychic weapon enhancement. However, essence loss is the primary balancing mechanic of PsiTech so I'm hesitant to give ways to circumvent it.

@BUTTERSKY11 Any such prosthetics would be crafted by your colony since there isn't really any other reasonable sources. The psionic faction is primarily composed of body purist types so they wouldn't make or use such prosthetics.

Even if it was difficult to get such prosthetics there's still the issue of it circumventing the essence mechanic. Essence is there to stop you from combining two late-game pawn enhancement methods into one ridiculously OP super-pawn. In that way it gives you a choice: do you want a cyborg or a psion? There's a great many benefits to cybernetically enhanced pawns, particularly that their body parts can't be destroyed. On the other hand, psions have a higher power potential, at the cost of losing out on cybernetic replacement or enhancement, among other drawbacks.

Maybe make it so that only prosthetic (not bionic or archotech) parts can be infused with athenium, so that you have a recourse if a psion loses an arm, but it's still a downgrade?
K  [developer] 5 May, 2020 @ 4:55pm
@Jr. Troopa It's not debilitating to have a part or two on a psion. Certainly it decreases their potential somewhat, but with the recent "buff" to essence loss (it's included as part of your defense against psionics now) I think it's fine to install parts when necessary. If you think the essence loss is too high, it can be adjusted in the options anyway.

maybe make weapons like longswords made out of athenium have a larger buff if a psion wields it
K  [developer] 6 May, 2020 @ 9:02am
@cat Athenium weapons are already very good (especially when psychically enhanced) to the point of being mildly broken, so they probably don't need a stats buff. It might be nice for athenium weapons to be "free" to enhance, and for it just to take work and not more athenium but with the way that the system is set up that's very difficult to implement.

I think biological implants such as from Evolved Organs Redux or regrown limbs from ARoM shouldn't give a penalty. I don't know if that would be possible to implement but it would be nice.
K  [developer] 11 May, 2020 @ 3:07pm
@XofBlack That depends more on the way that the mod author designed their parts than on the way PsiTech calculates essence loss. Essence loss is based off of the same counting mechanism employed by the Body Purist and Transhumanist traits, and whether a part is counted for that is based on whether it's considered an "added part" by the game. I'm not a fan of adding specific functionality to address issues with other mods since that becomes a seriously slippery slope of integration with every new mod, so if you want a mods part's not to count for essence loss, try asking the author of the mod to change their parts to not count. In the case of some parts, such as regrown limbs, it would probably make more sense for them not to count.

Could you add an EVA suit version of the psionic armor?
i kind of want to use psionics in space with SOS2
K  [developer] 6 Jun, 2020 @ 11:07am
@zxhb I'm not going to add a specific armor type for use with just SOS, but I could tag the existing armors for EVA use. However, they don't look very air-tight with their robe-like bottoms so we'll just have to say there's some psionic something going on to keep people alive in them.

More of a simple feature request, but could you add some kind of themed walls and floors? I would love to have psionic themed rooms.

@thakyZ I'll have to ask the artist if she's willing to make some more art; she's been quite busy lately. No promises though!

Indeed. Why would I buy Royalty when there are dozens of mods (such as this one, Hospitality, Sparkling Worlds to name a few) superior to it, lol.
