The visual stinger gained from injecting yourself with a symbiotic calyx injector keeps multiplying, and the stingers eventually start "orbiting" around my character after moving around for a while, making my character spazz out violently.

Notes:
I am playing on a self-hosted server with a friend, we have both been injected with 2 doses of symbiotic husk infection, yet I am the only one having this problem. (host problem perhaps?)

You are most likely wearing an item that is removing the affliction that's giving you the stinger, causing the affliction to erroneously be removed without actually removing the stinger. The affliction then gets automatically applied again as you still have the symbiosis status, meaning that the stinger gets duplicated as the previous one wasn't deleted.

In short it's both a problem caused by other mods, as well as the game itself, as the first for some reason has a status effect that instantly removes the affliction that causes the stinger to show up, and the latter doesn't actually remove the stinger when the affliction is removed temporarily (as it gets reapplied right away), causing the stingers to duplicate.

So could it be possible that Hammerhead Matriach genes is what is causing this, because I don't really see what else could be.

My bet would be that it's some modded diving suit or wearable item that's causing it. Could you send a screenshot of your entire screen showing all the items in your inventory as well as the currently visible afflictions when the problem happens?

Well there you have it:
The "CBRN" suit offers protection against "alieninfection", which on its own isn't proof that that specific item is the problem, but anything else in that mod could be straight up removing afflictions with that type (alieninfection) which is an extremely bad idea, this issue is proof of that. This means that this same problem could also be occuring with other afflictions with that type such as the afflictions related to the mudraptor and spineling genes (which use the same functionality that I, as well as the unmodded game use to make the husk stinger pop out of your mouth when infected or when in symbiosis). If that is the case, then the problem is 100% outside of my hands as I genuinely cannot do anything about it.
