this is gonna cause soome serious slowdowns on some games though but will allow a lot of interesting stuff
Think star wars hoth battle
Some more description on the workshop page here as to what you can and can't do with this would be quite helpful. For example:
How much power does this use to fire?
Can it reel in whole ships in space?
Can I grab loose Components and Ore?
Can it stay locked to thrusters while they're in movement?
Does it treat said thrusters as part of the same grid or would one need an RC block and two antenna as well?
Do the ropes transfer power?
How does one load the thing?
Does it take ammo if so what kind?
Is it affected by gravity in any way?
How does this work at all with something like Atmospheric Drag and Re-Entry mod?
How well does this work with speed mods?
Do the ropes ever break and if so what is the max force?
Is it possible to catch a rope on blocks to make pseudo pulley systems or better yet is it possible to wrap a rope around some blocks on a rotor head and create a pulley that way?
Some of these things I've managed to figure out pretty quick on my own but others remain unanswered and not everybody is gonna clue in that it basically takes parachutes as ammo in survival. Yes it is fun to experiment with things like this but it's also disappointing if you don't know the limitations of a block and go to try something with it, only to have it not work the way you expected. Anyways if the creator reads this: Thanks a ton for taking the time to make something really creative for this game and I hope my criticism doesn't seem negative in any way I just think more information is usually better in the case of helping newer players or people that don't necessarily want to take the time to do a full range of tests in creative and prefer a more trial and error method creating their own blueprints in survival (i.e. people like myself)
