Reuse bear trap for Sniper instead! Here's the idea
For engies, the idea feels unbalanced to me. But what about the sniper?

Just because I think it would be great to add more trap gameplay apart from stickies, and that could be trigerred by the trapped one itself.

Imagine that snipers have as a secondary weapon a bear trap he can set wherever he wishes on the ground and then go.

when trigerred :
- traps does 40 damages
- player get stunned for 0.5 s then immobilized for 2s but attack speed +20%
- Sniper got One crit on his melee weapon.

Secondary weapon as the sniper don't go on a spam with SMG, and that he has to be either hunting for a prey to fall on the trap, or he could just lay down the trap and go, carrying crit.
And no friendly traps, neither for the sniper himself.

It can get destroyed with 2 shotguns shots, dropping metal.

Sniper can that way carry 2 or 3 traps, and since their health is quite low, it would be rewarding but hard to go on ennemies' range for spamming. And he could also use that to protect where he can't see back when sniping, if spies lurks around for exemple.

Also, the model of the bear trap as it is can be remade without the electronic stuff, and what about a iron metal color for red and steelish blue for blue team?

This idea is in my head for a long time and since you have already done a model, it could be simpler to reuse. The idea would be fun, why not try if you find it too?

if you do use this like the way you say plz make a reskin that makes it look like an aligaters mouth
