Lockdown DLC is a practically-perfect Custom Map.

The difficulty is high, but not frustrating, the length is Long, there are lots of unique areas, frills, and surprises, there are cameos from the original four Survivors, the map is exceptionally well polished, there are several multiple-choice routes you can choose from throughout the campaign, and the ending tests your skills with a very tough Hard-Very Hard Gauntlet-Tank-Hard Gauntlet-Run To The Helicopter style Finale.

The very unique and intriguing miniboss/boss events present on most Chapters were the biggest standout, with you never knowing quite what to expect from them (one of them even features a major battle with Double Tanks in a confined space, which was an intense battle on Expert, where perfect rock/punch dodges, baits, and jukes were essential to survive).

Lockdown DLC also has one Easy Gauntlet event outside of the Finale, on Chapter 3, in the No Mercy mall (you have to shoot all of the speakers playing carnival music).

Lockdown DLC’s above-average difficult is mostly balanced by it being generous with supplies of all types, especially before and within miniboss/boss event areas (notably including a Whitaker’s Gun Shop on Chapter 4, complete with every single gun and guaranteed Laser Sights).

I also liked the ‘Light/Dark City’ optional choice on Chapter 4 (we of course chose Dark on our first playthrough).

My only complaints with Lockdown DLC are minor nitpicks, like it being odd that many of the Safe Rooms’ supplies are placed just outside of them, on the next Chapter, and there being at least a couple of areas where it’s not immediately clear on first playthrough where the map wants you to go (such as in the apartment building on Chapter 4).

It was also odd that there were notably no Witches present on this entire campaign.

These minor gripes don’t affect the experience of Lockdown DLC significantly, however, and thus it deserves its practically-perfect 10/10 rating for Quality.
