Not getting any hide, no matter what I do.
I've killed several dodos, and a few phiomias as well, also harvested from a dead dilo and a dead pteranadon I found- none of them yielded any hide. I got 1 quiled hide from the special menu - that's the ONLY time I have received anything from that 180 menu. No feathers or any other resources.

The mod is the first one on my list and currently the only one I am using. Also tried restarting.. Any suggestions?

Do you have a hatchet in your hot bar? You need a stone hatchet for regular harvest and metal for unique materials.

you also need to use the action wheel... hold your interaction on the corpse and select the corresponding option(if you have a metal hatchet you can collect more things, stone usually only permits basic things like that animal's version of hide)

Having same issue. Tried with a stone hatchet and a metal on a dead spino I found. Just gathers meat,sinew,spoiled meat

Think I'm kind of understanding. As I read in another post that the time the radial menu takes is based on crafting skill. I didn't notice bar filling so I thought I had to click the radial menu option. I will attempt again.

Hate to res a dead thread but I am having the same problem. I use the radial menu, wait till its full and still nothing. Cant pluck feathers or anything. I have a stone hatchet both in my hotbar and pulled out during the harvest. Nothing has worked. Tried a dozen different dodos and a dimetrodon and nothing from any of them.

I'm having this issue too. Killed a dodo, pego, etc. Use the radial menu, let it fill up, hatchet in my hotbar etc, no hide.

You must use the radial menu, left it up, yes, BUT you must also clic at the end (in case ^^)
And if your "crafting skill" is very low, you have a possibility to gain nothing... the more you improve your "crafting skill", the fastest is to collect, BUT, the MORE you can collect of "specials" resources, too! 😉

I'm also not getting hide. I worked out how to use the radial menu. I hold E on the corpse, select the feathers or whatever, wait for it to fill up and then click with my mouse when it's flashing blue. That harvests me the feathers (same process for the quilled hide). After that, I hacked at the corpse with my metal hatchet and harvested a heap of prime meat, normal meat, spoiled meat and sinew ...but no hide. I'm not really sure what to do for the recipes that require normal hide.

I'm still only new so there might be a tanning rack or something I haven't seen yet. That would be very cool, if so. I guess I'll keep reading through the comments and mod info until I figure it out.

Every special hide is ALWAYS a substitute for standard hide xD
