First and foremost, WHY IS THE MAIN RIFLE OF ALMOST ALL OF THE ROLES M14s?! The M14 is only used for ceremonial purposes (excluding a very, very select few marksmen) and has been replaced by the M16 for riflemen, which was later replaced by the M4, and for marksman with the Mark 17 and Mark 20,[en.wikipedia.org] aka the SCAR-H, the Rifle Caliber 7.62 mm M39 Enhanced Marksman Rifle (aka the M39 EMR, just said that to get on r/suspiciouslyspecific), the Mk 14 EBR,[en.wikipedia.org] the HK417 (which is already in Squad by default), the Mk22[en.wikipedia.org] in the future, and, though also very limited in number for marksmen, the SOCOM 16. Remove that completely from all classes and replace it for marksman only with the M39, Mk 17, Mk 14, HK417, the SOCOM-16, and/or anything else mentioned above.. Also for marksmen, I'd like it if there was an M107 available because who doesn't like taking a VBIED out with 3 .50 BMG rounds?
Second of all, the M1911 isn't used that much. For SOCOM service (that includes the Rangers) it's been replaced by the Heckler & Koch Mark 23, aka the 90's posterboy's pistol, and the M007 and Mk26, 27, 28, and 29, all of which are just Glocks. You could leave some units with the M1911, eg. some squad leaders and medics, but not all units should have the M1911.
Third of all, the M16. Ah yes, for when you're in Saigon-wait, wrong M16 variant. For when you're in Fallujah (can't wait for B22/V1.0). Anyways, the M16 is also in limited service, but when you say "the M16 is also in limited service" you are referring to 3 variants at once: the one that doesn't exist (the A2), the one that's literally Atlantis (the A3, only in use with, what? 5, 6 Navy SEAL operators and 2 Seabee operators?) and the one that doesn't exist but to a more existant state (the A4). I mean, you can keep it as a variant of most kits, but make sure it's replaced mainly with the USSOCOM's variant of the M4, the M4A1 Block II, with 2x EoTech EXPS3/XPS3s and the SU230. Oh, and also make sure breachers get the Mark 18 Mod 1 with 1x EXPS3/XPS3s.
Fourth, just get some flashbangs in the Breacher kit and some others, please.
Fifth of May of all, breachers should have 3 options: the Mk18Mod0 with no shotgun at all, a kit with the Block II M4 with an M26 MASS underbarrel shotgun[en.wikipedia.org], and a kit with a Joint Combat Shotgun, aka M1014. The M870 isn't used by the US Army, not even in a sawn-off variant. It's used by the Coast Guard though, which isn't suprising as the CG also use the Russian Saiga-12.
Sixth, add some more kits! Demo experts (Combat engineer with the normal Rangers feel, and more explosives, maybe even a M183 Demolitions Block with a remote detonator), JTACs (another type of Squad Leader, but suited for the Commander role), maybe an advisor class with the Mk17, 2x EXPS3/XPS3, and a foregrip bipod.
Finally, some stuff I really wanted to run off about the NVGs. They're extremely great, but not perfect. If you've played Insurgency: Sandstorm within the past 3 weeks or so, you might know what I'm talking about. Realism.
-IR lasers should not just be a line, it should be rotating. Like how a square is similar to a diamond. Also make sure some of the edges are crumbly. I have the vocabulary of a genipap,[en.wikipedia.org] don't judge me.
-NVGs should be a little less wide.
-Haven't tried this yet, but if you haven't added it, add flashlight blind.
And as a complete side note, maybe add some meme weapons to the range with another class. Maybe the Welrod[en.wikipedia.org] would suit good for the job.
flashbangs are possible, but would require alot of work, and testing. the NVGs were a workaround for the SDK bug. it is now updated with a more realistic feel, though still not final. There is flashlight blind, but it only works on specific settings, so this is WIP.
I love the idea of the masterkey shotgun and different variants, the current shotgun is actually already in the game files, and is not custom (yet)
A few things, though:
The M68 was adopted by the US military in 2000, so it shouldn't be in this mod.
Since it's the 90's, could you make the default NVGs based off of the AN/PVS-7, which has the FOV of monocole NVGs? For pilots, could you keep the old NVG GUI, but make it more like the AN/PVS-4?
