Any reason why BDU Convoy Reports wouldn't be working with UBE atm?
I can't seem to get any convoy reports, still trying to work out if it's just an issue for me or if it's a known thing. Or possibly the reports don't start until a certain date?

I deleted the temp files and whatnot and no change so far.

I was wondering if maybe its functionality got rolled in to UBE and the issue is I need to uninstall the standalone version?

General troubleshooting tips haven't worked so far, but any ideas are welcome.

Hi snork can you share a link / url to a copy of your output log when using UBE+HF mod

I would like to look this over and share this with ii the dev of HF.

I'm currently in denial about the sinking physics mod needing to be fixed because I can't bring myself to play without it.

However if your knowledge could possibly help me in fixing it up while I wait for its author to come back from a sabbatical I would be eternally grateful. I've been trying to quick study some programming skills just adequate enough to do a patch job on it, but I'm in the position where I don't know what I don't know (my log is 90% one repeating error message related to that one atm as I just noticed)

And while looking over the log and trying to figure out where to upload it, I noticed it looks as if BDU convoy is working but maybe I've just been unlucky by not being near enough a rebroadcaster?

Is the population of friendly uboats too low at the beginning of a game to expect it to work?

I remember a month or two ago, I'd be getting convoy alerts multiple times per outing, while recently in three or four missions I haven't seen a single one.

Is the receive transmissions icon, when you right click the radio, supposed to have a green check in it or a red x?

the wording is confusing

Is that log sufficient?

Also having played since, I still haven't seen a single convoy alert.

the only mention of a convoy was after researching european convoys or something along those lines.

And I saw a paper notice telling me to watch for convoys moving between two points.

However while out at sea, I've received nothing on the radio about specific spotted convoys

the issue is entirely SPO mod.

the log is clear ... a few million exceptions coming from that mod. likely due to UBE spawning a ship which doesn't have hull data - which is required for SPO to calculate physics

this exception is likely stopping other parts of code from working (BdU Reports) and is also likely the cause of the performance decrease - as your computer is spending more time writting to the output log than running the game.

i was having issues with it not working eather and didn't have SPO added.

i'll try removing SPO. god that breaks my heart.

because SPO actually works, in regards to its purpose, improving sinking physics.

using a health bar instead is a travesty. i don't understand why they do that if it's possible to do it better.

And EVERY other mod works perfectly, including yours.

Are you positive that it's SPO? I get that there's a cast error, but SPO doesn't spawn any ships - it just changes how they sink and calculate damage.

I am positive the exception is originating from SPO. ( it says so in the stack trace of your log)
I am confident that this exception is caused from SPO+UBE ( I have seen/ experienced it before)
I have predictions - but no proof to the reasons/exact data set which causes this error to occur ( I only know some of the things I implement could be harmful to other mods functionality - example I spawn ships that are not fully released into the game but are present in the files - Type 1941 , CHANT, LST (until recently) etc. )

SPO was designed and created with the vanilla game in mind. with assets that are complete.
while there were design considerations for when this might not be the case. it is likely the smallest of code changes that could fix this. and possibly very difficult to diagnose and identify.

However , I am also confident that as the game nears completion , and the ships UBE uses , are officially released into the game. these bugs will go away.

furthermore if full release comes and say X ship from UBE never gets used in the final version of the game. I will remove it as I can no longer consider this asset usable for UBE.
