Depleted gravel
Can I get rid of it? I want to place heavy structures there.

Ever figure out how? Can't seem to terraform it

Sorry, too long ago. But I don't think I found a solution.
can carpet work

Vanilla Expanded Furniture - Architect has concrete platforms to help building on softer ground, might work with the gravel.

can you let me know if it does

Not the prettiest, but it works. But you can't put floors on platforms, but you can build walls and other structures on them.

Correction, you can put floors on them, make sure to use the concrete platforms

it told me it wouldn't support heavy stuff like that

Maybe it's only concrete floors able to be put on them then.

Anyone tried the terrain digging of Vanilla Expanded Medieval, or Terrapumps mod? (I just found this biome mod, so haven't tested yet)

have you tried moisture pumps?
in base game they can turn soft sand into regular so maybe they turn this gravel into something more stable too
Futur Planet 8 Dec, 2023 @ 8:49am
Moisture pumps don't work. And foundations by "Vanilla Expanded Furniture - Architect" don't allow you to place floor on top of them. How is this supposed to be fun? How is this even supposed to be played without foundations? Build around it? It's frigging gravel, not an active vulcano! I am already dealing with pollution, no plants or animals and no wood. Wastelands don't need more obstacles!

This actually annoyed me so much, that I made this. You are welcome.

Hi, here's an easy fix, go into
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2122461695\1.4\Defs\Bodies
open Bodies_ReGrowth_Wasteland.xml
find Depleted Gravel
add <li>Heavy</li> to <affordances>
there you go, gravel can now support heavy structures
I always play naked brutality and while that + wasteland was brutal (fun), what destroyed me most was this gravel "feature".
