Also no option to boost the CSA
Edit: Just to clarify, they went socialist by the election event, not a focus since I had the 1914 start.
though and this is most likely due to the new allied tank pack that was dropped a while ago, the early ww1 tanks for the USA tree (and possibly CSA) are ww2 tank models and the ww2 tanks are the ww1 tanks models. i am pointing this out as it is either a bug or a conflict with the Aliied tank pack that adds more tanks to the USA UK and France. and thought that if you don'tknow already now you do.
on the flip side if you do know about this bug ignore me and keep on trucking
thank you for informing me, I had noticed the ww1 tanks while working on the 1938 date but I didn't know about the interwar years. And I am glad you are enjoying the mod
Seems quite good and enjoyable so far.
- Some bugs relating to the 2nd Balkan war triggering after the Great War ended for Turkey. Perhaps some global flag could prevent this?
- I personnally think surrender thresholds are too high. It is WW1, not WW2, and having Entente Armies on the Elbe in 1918 and Germany still fighting is puzzling.
I think the threshold to trigger the events should be lowered. And it should be lowered again by each passing year. Most defeated powers broke down way before the current surrender limit in the mod.
USA with occupied Philadelphia, Pittsburg and Missouri should perhaps envision surrender by 1918.
Same as France if Paris is lost.
A lower threshold could also offer Germany & CSA (and perhaps the USA too, with an offensive in Kentucky & Virginia) the "knock out" victory they were seeking in their 1914 offensives (this threshold could be increased for 1915/16 and then lowered again to simulate war weariness).
- I like the black uprising as a negative focus. I think, though, it should not disappear so easily but only be tuned down and partially negated by black conscription or internment except if the racial equality focus is taken. Black uprising was endemic in the books and never really stopped.
- The US AI seems to have a priority on the Canadian front. It allow a bold Confederate player to advance decisively in 1914 but Canada is steamrolled by 1915.
- Some releasable TAGs in Germany to allow for a proper dismembering would be cool if the victory is quite clear for Entente and Russia's still in the game.
- Deseret uprising was decent, lasting quite a few months (close to a year).
I liked how I was limited by available building spots for my war effort, quite simulating my inferiority in the industrial realm. I was struggling with Artillery production the whole game and could afford few planes & tanks only by the end of the game.
Thank you very much for your comment. I will definitely look into the bugs you described, and take into account the ideas you mentioned.
Do not hesitate to ask if you want further suggestions of a-historical treaties. I have good memories of good mods back in the days of HoI1/2 as well as quite a few books on WW1 and war goals.
Also, if your plan is to make a 1910-1950ish playable scenario, check the Presbyterian butcher thing for defeated USA. It's a good alternate fan-fic of what could happen in SV timeline if the USA lost the Great War. It's unfinished but it leads up to the war.
