You should be able to do Zascosium/Erestrum/Gold/Platinum by mining asteroids with an Enhanced Laser Drill fairly easily.
Either way, the class system is meant to be a grind.
Doubled mining calculations would be a bug with the game. No way to fix it.
Too bad the mission mechanics don't allow CV/SV mining to count. Maybe you could atleast add some story about it... "to really get a feel for this type of ore you have to mine by hand"... or something like that.
The PDA text for mission 4 recommends the use of a tool turret for salvaging the advanced materials. So, CV/SV salvaging works properly?
About the double mining calculations: It seems that every ore has a specific density, maybe this could be used as a common ground to add correct ore numbers? So, instead of "mine 4k advanced ore" it could read "mine 4k m^3" or "mine 4 tons".
is there diffrent POI that secundary engineer needs ?
is it bugged ??
as i cant change it after picking it this kida makes me sad :(
In RE 1.6, if you would do the Engineer class quest first, then you can apply less navdata (40x with 5x class quests, as one quest level counts as 2x navdata)
