Regarding RG2 and RG1.8
Hi. Will there be any major releases before RG2? Note, I'm not rushing for RG2, I'm just wondering if such a "major" upgrade that has been done for major Empyrion updates in the past will also happen for 1.8, adding new content or whatnot, before RG2. I'm hoping that my friends and I will set up a new server soon, so knowing if we can just go with current 1.8 version here, or if there is something big in the works for release "soon" (tm) that we should/could wait for.

For RG1, there will probably be some new POIs, more trading missions, more traders and at some point an overhaul of the class system.
RG2 probably won't be out until some time next year, but i'm working on it in the background.

What kind of timeframe, without holding you to it, would you guess at some new stuff for RG1? And will you continue with RG1 once RG2 is in full steam?

Well, I can't do an overhaul to RG1 unless a new savegame is required for everyone without breaking the existing class system. Same deal for adding new trading POIs or trading missions that are dependent on them.
