Crash with 1.9, just opened the build signal UI, hourglass cursor, Tpf2 no reaction.
Tpf2 build 29485 on Windows

No error message in the stdout.txt besides

I will try a different load order.

Changing the load order to have your mods after tracks and signals helps in this case.
I was able to autobuild signals now.
But ... see the other issue. Still occurs on 1.9.

My semaphores seem to be located on top of each other. I could barely figure out that the game was crashing because of this, I thought at other stations, warehouses….

It just crashed again, opening the signal build UI.
The same signal was preselected as used before, so why the crash?
Some mouse hovering issue?
Nothing helpful in the stdout.txt

GordonDry, you are right - the biggest inconvenience is that there is no warning: "In the save, the game will crash when the camera is over this part of the map". And yes - in this case, stdout didn't help much.
