Not Returning to Player control after Docking
I have used this script in the past before and liked it, however, I have run into a problem recently.

I am able to dock with any saved connector but whenever go to fly the ship after, the ship controls are not restored. Some thrust is in player control like strafing but gyros are locked and the up thrust is blasting at full. The only way I can fix it is by recompiling the script every single time after using it to dock.

This particular example is being used on a small grid cargo ship with one connector and one cockpit (if that matters to you).

I'm in the same situation. This must be a recent change because it worked in the past. I have reset the overrides in the gyros and move the thrust overrides forward then back to get them to take over again.

Its a Bug since ages where the script doesnt recognize that it has reached already the dock and still tries to dock the ship. Its not related to small grid, it just appeares that the small grid ship is just much more agile, thus running into that issue more often.
To me it seems, that its kinda tick-related where a particular task did not run properly within that tick, whereas the tick for issuing the connect call went through.
Nevertheless Spug didnt make any updates since ages and i guess, your issue will stay unsolved.
What you can do is, stop the script by calling the same argument just one block in front of the connector and dock it yourself. Its crap, but it'll work.
But its NOT due to a recent change. It has been there before contact and signals
