Details of fire engines and other vehicles?
Hi,

I've been editing your mods xml and txt files locally just for personal use because I wanted to have more detailed descriptions and also slightly more 'gamified' decision making process when deciding which vehicles to use.

For each vehicle, I'm detailing what it's ideal for, what equipment it has, and how it drives.
Example:

I'm basically scouring the internets to find details of each vehicle, so I can set its stats and description as accurately as possible, but also with some 'gamification tweaks' so there's interesting pros and cons between functional categories of vehicle and also the vehicles in each category.

I won't upload to workshop because it would plagiarize your mod, but I'd be happy to send edited files to you if you want to use them (once I've completed the edits).

I was wondering (if you want to) if you had links to the vehicles you've already included, as that would make it much easier for me to track down info. It looks like you've referenced Angloco website for several of the fire vehicles? But not sure about the rest.

In particular, I'm struggling to find anything that looks like `ve_carp1` - I can't find a CARP with a low profile aerial platform (basically same clearance as the drivers cab) and also where the platform doesn't extend over at least part of the drivers cab. Nearest I can find is the one in youtube link below, but it looks more like `ve_carp2`?

I suspect some of my edits (to `teammembersSeats` in particular) will have borked some of the vehicles too. I notice in main comments section of your mod that the incident screen doesn't work properly if there's more `teammembersSeats` than allowed by the `onsiteModel`. Ugh.

I've also added a few extra vehicles (just reusing existing icons), notably a Toyota "Brigade Response Vehicle" (BRV) and "Major Incident Unit" (not based on any specific vehicle yet). I've also 'rebranded' the new `ve_firestation` to be a 'Hose Layer Unit' as that seems to be closest match to how the new unit works.

The BRV is detailed at following links btw (visually it has red body, unlike the silver body of the LPA/L4P sibling):

It's a really interesting vehicle that fills a sweat spot, but based on some FOIA requests I found it's also very expensive initial cost.

Here's the current XML I have for it:

<Vehicletype id="ve_firebrv" type="FIRE" bonuses="TECH=0.3,FIRE=0.1,INJURED=0.1" price="68000" visibility="1" armour="0.3" maxSpeed="180" acceleration="4" immobilizedBy="NONE" offroadSpeedModif="0.7" trafficSpeedModif="0.3" teammembersSeats="3" transportSeats="0" upkeep="8800" terrain="road" patrols="false" waterCapacity="2.7" spawnChance="0.05" allDrive="false" chaseProficiency="0.05" unlockOnDuty="16"/>

I've found that although the game is somewhat limited in terms of vehicle specialisations, the description can encourage user to put right type of team members in the vehicle to make it behave in slightly different ways. For example, the fire cars you recently added should always have one Fire Sergeant to make them meaningful (that wasn't obvious to me until I did some digging and asking questions in main discussion forum). I think there's also potential for a guide detailing different 'gear' configs for different roles / vehicles which could further differentiate between teams. An example is police helicopter which should have 1 pilot and 2 'tactical flight officers' - eg. with the new 'police laptop'.

Thanks for engaging with this project, I'm currently dealing with a heavier amount of work, so progress on this is slower than I'd like it to be.

The CARP I originally added is fictional and base of likewise appliances that I have found.

I am working on changing the graphics for the mobile stations and will update when done.
