Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2

The French Fryer
Isnt this offensive?
What i mean is, that the hat and the picture is a reference to ww2's (i think) german soldiers slaughtering thousens of french (and more) peapole/soldiers with theyer flametrhowers (espacialy in city battels, like, building to bulding combat stuff).
I think french peapole (especialy those hwo know histoty) might find this hat pretty offensive.
Now, im not french myself but i do know some history.
I do find the hat pretty cool tho (in a cosmetic scenario).

WW1, and WW2, and it's not exactly offensive, that is unless you consider war games offensive.
However it is more likely to be disrespectful to men, women and children who fought and died for a cause during those times, though from another view it could be that they are serving a reminder and homage to those people (which games like BF1 and so forth show that is what usually happens)

No. It is not offensive. The helmet looks great on the Pyro. :)
To be honest its not to be looked at as a reference to WW2 or any of that. but if this was a reference to that then i'd agree with you.

Hey, i would like to bring some details about this helmet, the ww1 and ww2 french helmet look similar except for some details so it's easy to confuse the two. This is actualy a ww2 helmet (but there is no offense) one of the differences is on the sides of the helmet, the helmet ww2 to small screws while the helmet ww1 has no screws. https://www.world-war-helmets.com/country?q=france
The ww1 helmet is called Adrian modèle 15
The ww2 helmet is called Adrian modèle 26

Am I the only one who realizes that it's called the French Fryer because 1) it's an Adrian (French) Helmet and 2) it's a pyro cosmetic?
I don't really see how this could be offensive since this is actually a French hat but yet again this is coming from the same guy who got triggered as a mountie cosmetic for soldier that said Canada was annex by US in the TF2 universe but I'm sure that's not true so it's best just not to take these things to heart as they are made in the best interest of the community and this could be really nice cosmetic for both Pyro and Spy who want a French soldier look like how I use the proof of purchase to give my Pyro and Medic a nice WWI/WWII Commonwealth look.
